It was a surprise even to me! This isn't my photo, the shelter took it. Bikini was her name there, but we're going to rename her something more fitting.

Anyway, meet the newest member of my family! Our dog Barney has been very lonely ever since our dog Bella had been put down a few years ago. My Mom always thought of getting another dog, but she was hesitant. I'm not sure what made her change her mind, but a few hours after I woke up today she came home with this girl!

Don't let her face fool you, she's actually 12 years old! The same age as Barney, because we didn't want to get a puppy and get stuck in an "infinite loop" of dogs again. She's a tiny thing, but Barney isn't roughhousing at all, being such a good boy. They said she was a Beagle, but I'm like 95% sure she's a Cheagle (Chihuahua/Beagle mix).

We're waiting for her personality to show before naming her, but the two ideas we have now are Minnie (for her tiny size) or Betty (Barney's wife on the Flintstones).
