"Darth Vader sat alone in his chamber, his mechanical breathing through the tube in his body connected to his charred lungs nearly bringing him out of his contemplation. He was trying to fathom the events that have transpired while holding his sons lightsaber in hid gloved prosthetic hand, looking down at it with sorrow, regret and confusion through yellow, burnt eyes. The memory still fresh in his mind the more he looked at the weapon. His son's hand separated from his wrist along with his lightsaber, Luke's agonizing scream filling the pit as the boy scurried to the edge of the platform, like a child trying to hide from a monster. Vader was that monster. The monster who looked into the eyes of a youngling, scarred of the carnage the clones outside were responsible for within the jedi temple, and then he ignited his weapon. A monster who attacked his pregnant wife out of confused panick on mustafar, the first thought that went through his head as he awakened in a slow, bulky body that was now a reminder of his path of hate and his prison. His wife. She had bore him a son. A son he could not raise and teach because of his actions. A son he had tried to kill before he had hired Bob's fett to find out the x-wing pilot's identity. His vow when he found out the truth. "He will be mine. It will all be mine". It was his moment. Luke was trapped. And then he remembered. Vader spoke. "I am your father". Luke's face turned to horror and regret. And that's where everything went wrong. Vader had promised luke the galaxy, a chance to rule side by side as father and son. He jumped. Vader paused. And then his head fell with defeat. His only son would rather die than reunite with his family. Vader later sent a drone to look for Luke, but all it retrieved was the weapon he now held. A weapon he once used to stand up to monsters like himself. A weapon his son held, only to leap once he lost it. Vader couldn't blame Luke at this point. After all, who would want to join a monster. He would. Vader joined Palpatine in the event of order 66. He fought alongside the empire and turned planets of peace into scorched rock. He mourned for padme, but he now realized he had no right to even speak her name. He Threw all of it away the moment he cut off mace windu's hand. He killed anakin Skywalker. And for what? To lose his wife and the trust of his son and the admiration of the galaxy, despite sidious' promise to keep his family safe. Padme was dead and Luke was not safe in a galaxy with the empire in it. He looked once more at the lightsaber. Did ben give this to his son. He would never know. Vader killed him. His attention was drawn to his prosthetic hand. He remembered that sidious offered to make an improved life support system. The thought ran. Through vader head. Going to an imperial medical facility to improve his armor. Retailering it with white in a separate location to remove himself from the idea of the dark side. Of the sith. Of sidious. He will be merely vader, but he will no longer be tied to the empire. He placed his helmet back on and left for jhis ship, a plan where to strike back at the empire forming in his mind. He new what he had to do after his last trip within the empire. He had to raise a new hope"

With this armor he could hide his past identity as Lord Vader, but Leia would still know, so would Han, and I can't see either of them forgiving Lord Vader... well not for a long time.

Darth Vader died on the second Death Star; Anakin Skywalker made sure of that. Reluctantly, he agreed with his children that the galaxy still needed an older, wiser Hero Without Fear.
A brilliant design, by the way. Far better than the seemingly default 'Vader Suit Painted White' idea!

Now this is a version of Jedi Vader I can get behind. The stark white Infinities version always grated on me. I never thought it truly fit the armor, but this version is far better.

Heheh, wow. Β That's a really cool design. Β Interesting take on the idea. Β I feel this well balances the ideas I've seen of a Jedi robe version of the suit, with the existing white armored Anakin. Β Very cool, I like it. Β Jedinamic.
