Description
a large creature suddenly took flight; it looked rather like a python, but it was riding the wind on huge insect wings.
(a line from chapter 2 of my story The Origin of Snake Blue which is nearing completion but for the name for this species.)

posting the pic and a description in hopes of finding these monstrous hunters a good name.

basic design: thick python body, and huge cicada-like wings, no other limbs or anything.
mottled tan and violet colors on the body, and translucent white for the wing membrane. it's eyes are a blank dark green, with the typical slit pupil of a snake.
(I know the thing looks kinda like a dragonfly, but it's the image I came up with.)
I'm thinking it would be about 10 feet long, and able to eat even the largest of Kohasia's animals whole.
(that being a large goat-like critter that I also haven't found a name for.)

I found one of the cicada wings I used for reference here on dA, but I can't for the life of me remember where.
