Description
I'm planning a Sonic Fancharacter contest, so... Here's everything you need to know!The deadline as well as the prize will vary depending on the amount of contest. Spread the word, please!
Recognizable characters belong to me. Anyone that doesn't is there through sheer coincidence.

The part where it says you cannot sonicfy a OC but you can't make a sonified character too original... and that we can't use someone else's work, to me that means I can't make anything.

Being unable to sonicify an OC is a rule set so that I won't get, say, people who turn OCs into Sonic characters just to be able to join in. These two , for example, aren't Sonic fancharacters at all. Since it's supposed to be a contest for Sonic fancharas because they get neglected in OC contests, it'd be a bit unfair to just alter your OCs a bit so they can be in both contests.
Making a Sonified character too original is pretty much because, although they're not, I could probably pawn off those two as badnicks if I wanted to. Some characters don't look like fancharas at all, so that the only way you know they are ones is that the creator says they are. So it's just a rule to say "please only use Sonic fancharacters".
The art doesn't have to be high-quality, mind you, so don't worry about not making anything because you can't take from someone else. Some people steal characters or designs from others, and the rule's there because of those people. Besides, you seem to be a good artist, so I don't see why you'd have a problem with that part...

Well, maybe this contest isn't really for you... No offense, of course. But I don't think you can win if you make a brand-new character. Maybe you can find an OC (original character) contest to join?

What is a Sonic Fanchar?

A character with a design based on someone from the Sonic world, basically. Since their designs aren't completely original, they're shut out of OC contests and so on, no matter how great and original their personalities or backstories are.
