Official Judge for the War Machine Intergalactic TournamentAlrighty! I figred if I where to judge a giant robot battle... I would probably need to have one myself haha!
Otherwise, I'd probably get's squished...
Anywho, this is my Judge NPC, Captain Nathanael Azul, and his mech, the S.P.I.R.O. GS
(How very original of me)If you look close enough, you'll notice I have used absolutely NOTHING new in it's design... bit's of meganus design.. kamen armor.. project Uperlian here and there... haha!
But hey, that just makes it MINE all the more doesn't it?
This baby is packing. Heavily.
But it is mostly a defensive mech. Quick on it's toes for evasion, and has some massivly powerfull shield generators. And shield generators on top of THOSE. It takes a lot of power to get through it.
As for it's attacking abilities, all it has is a Nitrogen Kryo-Launcher22 (that shoots shells of liquid nitro! It FREEZES THINGS! Again.. nothing has changed...) and short range Lazer claws.
Yes. that is the total of it's weapons haha!
The Captain himself carries 2 pistols in his captain's coat.

It depends on the gender of the characters of the other judges, particularly darkkitsunegirl as to what type I'll use. -I don't think the females should outnumber the males in a mech tournament. It just sounds a little silly. (I'm so sexist, but I'm a girl so it's allowed. XD)
Your idea about having a judge's mech built for evasion and defence was a good idea! I mean, it makes sense, anyway!
I was either going to have a female character with a mech that looks like a giant koi (O_O), or a war veteran accquainted with the general who has a mech that looks like a giant suit of armor. (<- he'd be a middle-aged man, so that would be kind of new for me. Oh! Or the female character could be an elderly woman! That would be cool too! Lol!)

Meh, but I've already drawn the suit of armor. The head is sunken partially into the chest armor for better defense.
The elbows, knees, part of the feet, and abdonminal area are gone because the suit is carefully balanced with magnetism. The non-attached parts like the wrists and toes can be used as projectiles, but only as a last resort because it throws off the balance and they also cannot be retracted.
Magetism is a simple trick for the old veteran to use when compared to all the newer bots out there, and it's surprising to him that most people don't know what holds the old thing together. But he's a proud man who doesn't have a lot to say, and usually has his face hidden by something (I haven't figured it out yet, but it'll be some crazy anime-type thing that'll be fun to draw) so he can stand there in apathy without mingling with people. He just wants to see Earth left in capable hands. (He'd probably be the butt of a lot of jokes though, which is exactly what I'm hoping for)
I haven't thought much about the lady yet. She's not exactly a war veteran, -more like just a talented grandma with connections. She's older than the male character I came up with, who would be more middle-aged. But yeah, she'd be a fiesty old lady in a giant floating fish. Hmm... choices, choices.
