Description You'll excuse me being in a particularly silly mood recently, but I felt like this would just be a fun one to submit. I was making a tye-dye t-shirt and when I went to rinse it out in the bathtub, all these wicked crazy colors started flowing from the shirt into the drain, and I had to take a photo of it. I think it may end up being more supportive data towards the theory that I might have ADD. Pretty colors...

Anyway, yeah it's not really of any sort of artistical merit, IMO, but I see a few different ideas in it. Whatever. Enjoy the splash.

Excellent, this speaks on so many different levels most of which are too deep or insightful too simply justify with words so i'll let you picture speak for itself. As for my critique, its amazing in its simplisity and color.. excellent job here, a true artistic winner!

I know we both try and exchange constructive criticism and meaningful comment, but really, this is so beautiful and well...I really can't think of anything to critique. I think it's clear proof that you have a good eye for images, considering you really didn't plan on shooting this on the first place. Wonderful photograph.

Aww, thank you. I'm flattered really. I know you try, so one comment like this in a while isn't a be thing- on the contrary, from you, it's very meaningful.

Thank you for the fave!

This is really neat. Good spontaneous creativity. I really like it, honestly. I like how the water looks like silk or something because of the colors. This is just great. Instead of having all the colors sort of meld together to make some kind of nasty brown or something, they stayed in rainbow formation just for you!

This is a wonderful photograph! I love the way the colours have run together in such a perfect way, keeping to a rainbow-like formation. I do believe that I'm going to have to watch your gallery, you've just got so many wonderful photographs, and I look forward to seeing more.

this is wonderful! rally nice capture! so glad you had a camera handy!

really love the contrast and the brightness.....also, the camera is just right...not having the entire plug...its really impressive. my only one idea would be to have the title on the image itself. I think that would really finish it off....apart from that little (personal) idea, i think his is a wonderful shot. for sure!

SqueakingShoeless In reply to indeathwefall [2005-06-28 17:39:37 +0000 UTC]

Hehe thanks, that's really an interesting idea. Perhaps I'll try that out just for the heck of it, though I probably won't edit because of the file size.

Nice photo, very creative.

Only thing (little thing) I'm not happy about is the flash reflected in the sink's rim. It gives it away a bit.

SqueakingShoeless In reply to FreddyC [2005-06-27 20:09:35 +0000 UTC]

Aww, thank you so much for the fave!

It's actually a bathtub, but eh. OOC, what part of the photo are you talking about? There's a bit of a flash in the lower center region, in the bottom-most streak of color... is that it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FreddyC In reply to SqueakingShoeless [2005-06-27 21:18:27 +0000 UTC]

It's near the right border, in the middle.

SqueakingShoeless In reply to FreddyC [2005-06-27 21:51:36 +0000 UTC]

Ooohh, right, I forgot about that little thing. I could edit it out, but I'm feeling a bit lazy. Thanks for catching that though- I tend to miss the flash spots because I get so used to them in the process of editing and framing.

SqueakingShoeless In reply to Veganvictim [2005-06-27 17:17:26 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha actually, it's my bathtub, and I could have gotten it that bright and clean without photoshop if I'd wanted to, though it would have required a bright lamp and me adjusting the contrast a few points on my camera. I'm glad you like it though! Thanks so much for the fave!

CS2 is indeed amazing.

Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 2. Effectively the same thing as calling it PS9. It's just the latest version of Photoshop.

You should try experimenting with rotating the imgae. It might look cool if you turned it at a different angle. Who knows?

SqueakingShoeless In reply to CinderDragon [2005-06-26 01:12:02 +0000 UTC]

Hehe I tried that, but the brilliance of the red at the top and the faded quality of the greenish-blue at the bottom of the streak make it so that the only strong composition is in this particular configuration. The only other thing I could do would be to flip the photo horizontally. This however does nothing beneficial for the photo, so I decided to leave it be. Thanks for the idea though.

thats pretty damn awesome actually
if it were a print (and i had money to toss at buying prints ) i'd be proud to hang it on my wall...
the red on top is beautiful, cuz..well red is awesome
but i really love the blue below it, how its kinda swirly with the white
also, the over exposed bathtub is great, giving it a pure background
very nice job indeed
