If the fish are flying to the End of the Earth, then they have seized the only direction as their own.
Man, if I saw flying fish I would certainly follow them.
Alright, so anyway, here's another painting, it took many, many hours (20 or so) in psp-x. It's a whole buncha firsts. My first I-took-more-than-ten-minutes-to-paint-this-piece-of-crap background. First red haired person, first curly haired person. And the first image I've done (in a while) that I actually still like by the end of it.
Seriously, I'm in love with flying fish.
I know where some of the errors in this image are already. I'm still getting the hang of the hair, so that needs improvement and her anatomy is sort of... messed up. But who cares.

This is really nicely done. I like the 1950's postcard style to it, with elements of Magritte. I like the choice of colours throughout.
You've really excelled with the hair. My main critique would be that the proportions on her abdomen are off a fair bit. To rectify this rotate your image 180? and increase the height of the cut on the swimsuit, widen the thigh, and add more around the front of swimsuit.
I also feel that the flying fish are quite tightly spaced, when you have so much background space to play with. I would place one nearer the upper left corner.
