This is my favourite of the horse series of pictures. I love the composition and you captured the light so beautifully.

Now looking at this shot, I wish I was actualy there to experience the moment, theses horses looks friendly and curious, there's so much emotions on their faces only a horse lover would know, great shot.

They weren't friendly at all cause I asked them to come over for a cuddle and they just looked at me like statues! But then.. I'm not a horse person by any description.. so what are their emotions saying.. are they hungry or just pissed off with me heheh!
Thanx for the comment G

You see alot of photos of horses on this site, most of them are LOOK AT MAH HORSES!!!!11 but you've actually managed to break this endless stream of trotting horses and brought us something staggeringly beautifull. Fav

Well, I am from finland, I did take part in a scoutcamp this summer called Wik 2006, it had a guy shooting burning arrows at an unlit bonfire to light it and a viking ship

i love the lighting on the horses.. but the clouds look a little over exposed.. i guess that's the difficulty in getting something to look great in a shot like this.. well done though!

I say , never shoot into the sun.... then I do it time and time again..... I dragged the highlight contrast back in my RAW processer and also squeezed the levels down a bit.... Must go back when the clous is more uniform and the light is cooler.

hahaha.. i do that so often too! it's because we're creative people who want to see the bright colours and rays in our work.. despite the fact it often torments us later on.. it's all good though, and very forgivable in this instance!

This is great dave, a picture called setting sun and it's not your bog standard sunset with the great orb bang in the middle... well done on breaking the bonds of conformity dude! I really like the lighting... it gives everything a golden sheen, even the dirty on the ponies/horses looks good!
