Well, this started out as an innocuous little class doodle, but practically demanded that I color it, and I finally found the time to do so.Her wings are that of an African sea eagle, which are absolutely beautiful birds (I have seen one in person). Her body is sort of a mix of leopard and lion (sphinxes don't have to be taxonomically accurate).

Every time I see a sphinx, I can't help but think that they must be so specially confused. It's like... "Do I hunt antelope? Do I dive for mice and cats? Do I roost?" Etc.

Whaaat, I did not practically demand. I suggested. 
I love that she's not your usual gryphon, but has also the leopard spots. And African sea eagles really are beautiful, although I have not seen one in person. Great work!

Sorry, when you say "you should" I tend to take that as a demand.
I wanted to make her distinct from my Lethian sphinxes; she's more of the Greek-mythology variant.

Haha! I love it! Imagine that. Usually Sphinxes are all "mystical and ethereal" but this one, no, it's said that so many times that she's bored and just wants to get through it. Maybe get a milkshake when her shift is over. XD
