My Belegarth armory as of 8-18-08. Mostly Dagorhir compatible, too, which is good, as New England has no Bel.Mostly Ozark Trail blue Camping Pad polyolefin foam and fiberglass or PVC with DAP Contact Cement. Shields all cored with half-inch plywood.

Very nice armory you've got there. I have two dire maces, two blue green class swords, a glaive, two bearded axes, and two flails. I just wish I could fight more often, stupid real life getting in the way all the time.

Im surprised my weapon even passes inspection. It was passed down to me from an elder who wasnt coming back.. from injury. the foam is hard and taped to hell and back the hilt is breaking away... he had it made 8 years ago when they were lenient on harder inpact.. now the foam has to be softer and on inpact. getting our weapons tested takes forever. but! good collection you have! very well made!.

The club you're asking about is 3/8" round fiberglass and is juuuust about too long to pass flex if it's hot out.
None of them are modified or stock Edhellens. I'm too dang poor to do anything but roll my own, from scratch. I did get some of the cores (3/8" square and 1/2" square fiberglasses and a short length of .606 kitespar) from Edhellen and am considering ordering some foam from them in the future.

Belegarth , sport of kings! And athletes and geeks and athlete-geeks.
Alternatively, if there is no Bel in your area (check the Local Chapters tab on that page), you can try Dagorhir , which is damn near the same exact game, just with subtly different emphases and a less welcoming web presence.

i've done Realms before in new england. the weapons seem to be different... we do pvc, foam and duct tape.

This is Belegarth or Dagorhir (depending on where you're at and with whom you're fighting). It's basically the same sport and it's the biggest, baddest foamfighting nonsense to go down anywhere, ever. Dag's Ragnarok event pulled 1500+ people this year and the combat is the most hardcore stuff you can find next the SCA and EMP.

We are a newish realm in Idaho called De-Treba Mora. It used to be called the Sanctum, but the name was changed to separate ourselves from someone trying to claim they ran it. Oh and they guy that taught me to make weapons would kill me if I use anything but DAP, so I will be in the garage with a heater making weapons all winter.

Awesome! Just make sure you've got ventilation; DAP fumes looove to explode without warning. They think it's fun.

I never use DAP without lots of ventilation... anymore. I all but got high the first time my husband and I used it. It still seems to hold up the best though, so I think I will keep using it even in the winter. My next project is to make a whole bunch of daggers, because a group of us here have been having assassin games. Any where is far game. We even "poisoned" a friends drink while he was at work.
I don't think there is even a Dag group any where near us, so we all play Belegarth. Even though we are a new realm we have a solid core of fighters, and helpers so we have about thirty regular attenders. I think allot of that is because of Rumbeard and Fangesta being our king and queen.
