I had so many requests for a tutorial, so here is a step by step process of how I draw the characters in my comics.As you see, it's rather simple but I hope this will be helpful to you!
And by the way, this is one drawing from my latest Kuroshitsuji comic, like you probably noticed. ^^

I have Sai and it is the option above your layers that says "preserve opacity"~ ^-^ It will pop up the word lock on that layer after you check it~

at the sketching part with the ink pen;

so how can you make it so straight and natural looking?

I have the same problem when I use Photoshop. But when I use PaintTool SAI, my lines are smooth. So I guess it depends on your program.

then you should try to draw at a very high resolution, maybe that would help.

Can you tell me how you measure out the borders? Do you just eyeball it or do you have a template or do you measure it with the ruler in Photoshop?
