I had so many requests for a tutorial, so here is a step by step process of how I draw the characters in my comics.As you see, it's rather simple but I hope this will be helpful to you!
And by the way, this is one drawing from my latest Kuroshitsuji comic, like you probably noticed. ^^

Q. Am I able to do the "Layer Clip" and "Opacity Lock" options?
Q. What does Opacity Lock "do" exactly? Layer Clip?

Opacity Lock makes it so that you can only color in areas where there is already color. So if you want to color the line-art, you don't have to use a really small brush and go over it carefully. You can just set the line-art layer on opacity lock and use whatever brush size (it will still only affect the lines).
Anyway. In photoshop, depending on which version you have, it may be called Preserve Transparency or Lock Image Pixels. You'll find the option in the layer menu.

I have a quick question,...how do you make such fine line art lines? When I do the lines (with my tablet) it comes out very solid...but your's is rather tipped at the ends. I want that!~ O:

You have to activate the "pen pressure" in the options of your tabelt. I mean, so that the line thickness depends on the pen pressure. ^^

Each panel at about 1120x800px, that would make a comic with 6 panels 1120x4800px.

For some reason my SAI doesn't allow me to use the opacity on the lineart.

Yes, I use it on the lineart layer. And my version is SAI 1.0.1 (I think so...).

I made the background with a filter in Photoshop (select two colours + apply filter) and added the text there, too (text tool).

Yes, I have a tablet, it is very useful! ^^
When I didn't have one, I used to sketch with pencil, then scan it and then make the linearts and colouring with the pen tool. That was lots of work. x___x
