To complete all prompt-based activities, you must fulfill the requirements listed here.
There are two options to submit any prompt: Literature or Art. You are free to switch between these options or use either choice for all your submissions.
All Literature Submissions
Must be submitted as a Journal/Literature to the correct Submission folder in The-Aetherion 's gallery.
Must focus on the correct character, be written in the context of the Aetherion universe, and include a relevant response, reaction, or interpretation to the prompt in some meaningful way.
Must satisfy the word count requirement listed.
To use the effects of extra item/s, such as a consumable or Pet, the item/s must be clearly included in the writing.
All submissions must have links to your Player and Character Scrolls in the description.
Main Story Quests Submission Folder: Main Story Quests
Minimum Word Count: 500
Title: Include the name of your character and the Quest like this: "Ringo: Quest Name" or "Quest Name: Ringo".
Should focus on your character's response or reaction to the Main Story Quest prompt in some way, including any specific requirements the prompt gives.
Exemplary Bonus: 800 word count.
Chronicles Submission Folder: Chronicles
Minimum Word Count: 350
Title: Include the name of your character and the Chronicle like this: "Ringo: Chronicle Name" or "Chronicle Name: Ringo".
Should focus on your character's response, reaction, or interpretation of the Chronicle prompt in some way. May be open-ended, vague, or poetic, if you wish.
Exemplary Bonus: 800 word count.
Adventure Quests Submission Folder: Adventure Quests
Minimum Word Count: 250
Title: Include the name of your character and the Quest like this: "Ringo: Quest Name" or "Quest Name: Ringo".
Must fulfill the requirements in the Adventure Quest's prompt.
May complete a maximum of 2 per week per character. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
Explorations Submission Folder: Explorations
Minimum Word Count: 250
Title: Any
Must be at least partially set in the correct Exploration area of the Pearl, and mention some kind of exploration your character undertakes.
May complete a maximum of 2 per week per player. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
Gardening and Fishing Submission Folder: Gardening and Fishing
Minimum Word Count: 150
Title: Any
Must reference the correct Gardening or Fishing activity in at least a casual way.
May complete a maximum of 1 of each type (gardening, fishing) per week per character. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
All Art Submissions
Must be submitted as an art deviation to the correct Submission folder in The-Aetherion 's gallery.
Must focus on the correct character, be drawn in the context of the Aetherion universe, and feature the character interacting with the world in a way that's relevant to the prompt or activity.
Must satisfy the art requirements listed under each category.
To use the effects of extra item/s, such as a consumable or Pet, the item/s must be clearly visible somewhere in the image.
All submissions must have links to your Player and Character Scrolls in the description.
Main Story Quests Submission Folder: Main Story Quests
Color: Full color
Lines: Clean lineart or lineless/painting
Background: Simple to moderate rendering, should be a relevant environment and fill the scene.
Amount of character shown: Fullbody and clearly visible.
Title: Include the name of your character and the Quest like this: "Ringo: Quest Name" or "Quest Name: Ringo".
Description: Include a brief description of what your character is doing/a summary of the image. This can just be one sentence if you wish.
Should focus on your character's response or reaction to the Main Story Quest prompt in some way, including any specific requirements the prompt gives.
Exemplary Bonus: Exceptional effort given to detail, rendering, lighting, shading, backgrounds, or composition. An attempt to make the image work as a standalone piece of art. (Art skill is not the focus - going above and beyond the normal requirements is what we look for.)
Chronicles Submission Folder: Chronicles
Color: Full color
Lines: Clean lineart, cleaned sketchy lines, or lineless
Background: Simple to moderate detail, but does not have to be any specific environment. Should mostly/completely fill the scene.
Amount of character shown: Fullbody and clearly visible.
Title: Include the name of your character and the Chronicle like this: "Ringo: Chronicle Name" or "Chronicle Name: Ringo".
Description: Include a brief description of what your Chronicle submission represents. This can just be one sentence if you wish.
Should focus on your character's response, reaction, or interpretation of the Chronicle prompt in some way. This may be symbolic or illustrative if you wish.
Exemplary Bonus: Exceptional effort given to detail, rendering, lighting, shading, backgrounds, or composition. An attempt to make the image work as a standalone piece of art. (Art skill is not the focus - going above and beyond the normal requirements is what we look for.)

May complete a maximum of 2 per week per character. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
Explorations Submission Folder: Explorations

Background: A simple illustration or sketchy rendition of the relevant environment should be visible and fill the scene.
Amount of character shown: 50% minimum (waist up). Can be chibi or simplified.

Must be set in the correct Exploration area of the Pearl, and portray some kind of exploration your character undertakes.
May complete a maximum of 2 per week per player. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
Gardening and Fishing Submission Folder: Gardening and Fishing
Color: Up to full color, including partial or no color if lines are clean
Lines: Clean lineart (if using no/partial color), or sketchy/lineless (if using full color)
Background: A simple, sketchy suggestion of a relevant background should be present but does not have to fill the canvas.
Amount of character shown: 50% minimum (waist up). Can be chibi or simplified.
Title: Any
Must portray the correct Gardening or Fishing activity in at least a casual way.
May complete a maximum of 1 of each type (gardening, fishing) per week per character. This timer resets Sundays at 11:59PM EST.
Collaborations
You may collaborate with other players to complete prompts.
All participants must meet the eligibility requirements to complete the prompt. The exception is for Chronicles in which the participants' characters are of different species, but would feasibly meet during the course of the Chronicles.
Each participant must do an equal share of work, equal to the amount of work a single piece would include. Essentially, if two players collaborate on a prompt, the requirements are doubled, such as two pieces of art, a single piece featuring two fullbody characters and a more detailed scene, or a piece of writing with double the word count.
Mixed media (literature + art) is permitted.
All participants receive separate rewards and rolls based on their individual stats and applied bonuses.
Completing a collaborative prompt counts the prompt as completed for all participants.
Completing a collaborative prompt grants a bonus reward: a special currency item called a Token of Friendship.
Commissions
You may commission another person to complete your prompt for you. This applies to both Art and Literature prompts.
You are responsible for communicating with the person you commissioned if the prompt does not meet requirements. The commissioned artist or writer should be informed of these rules before making your commission.
The person you commission need not be a member of the Aetherion group.
You will receive completion rewards as if you created the work, including exemplary rewards if the commissioned piece meets the requirements for it.
