Description I was doodling that pic of Clark there, with a ballpoint pen, and thought I could do some more people in mid-change to superhero. I was thinking of doing some more, but I couldn't think of any iconic transformations, outside of the big three.

Maybe Captain Marvel, with the 'Shazam!' and the lightning and the hey hey hey...

(this probably shoulda been put in 'scraps', but I don't have as much fun scrapping stuff as I used to.)

I never thought of that before...but it does suit their characters. Ol' impulsive Clark and methodical Bruce.

After I uploaded the pic, I had a look at it and realised for the first time that Bruce did look quite young. I think I just drew a standard body and put the costume over it...without Wayneafying it. But...if it works for you...then there's a happy ending.

I just do not do well with belts in general...I can only imagine trying to figure out that utility belt!

In trying to do a traditional hooking type belt, I realised why a lot of comic book artists do buckles or just simple shapes. Belts look easy, but they're like chinese finger traps. Once you get into it, you go mad trying to get back out.

I completely agree. I can do a hooking belt when it's done up, but I don't think I'd even attempt to do one while it's in the process of being done up.

Bats could be going in reverse. I didn't notice that before. Maybe he is undressing. I didn't draw the bottom half...so maybe he's already taken off his pants/tights/spandex.

Yes. for ballpoint. I was very apprehensive about using it, even in a sketchbook, but I'm starting to love it. I love how it scans.

Ballpoint is FANTASTIC. But I've heard it can fade over time; I've been spraying my ballpoint stuff with fixative lately, so maybe mine won't get ugly.

You use fixative on ballpoint? I have some really old ballpoint stuff, and it has faded quite a bit, but I'm not really concerned about keeping my ballpoint pics just yet, so I haven't busted out the spray yet.

I love that about him. Everyone else has some cool changing sequence, but Bruce has to get dressed like he normally would.
