You have captured a cracker here, from the loving look on mums face to the young swan nestled on her mums back. And not to forget those water droplets on mums head/neck.Very nice work.

Thankyou very much I have wanted a moment like this for so long, everything fell into place that morning, two previous trips, either poor light or bad positions
but this morning everything fell into place, especially the range. even i was surprised how close they let me get. i had about a hour watching and photographing them.
wonderfull morning.

Excellent - what a wonderful shot. Even better than my Hide n Peek shot of baby geese, because you were able to include the mother swan's head and the interaction and communication going on. Plus swans are just prettier.
Huzzah!

Thankyou! I've wanted to capture this moment for a long time now, often seen it either to far away or not good conditions, i had the conditions and the range for this
and having the patience to watch and wait was no problem

I haven't the lens to capture these moments but sure are glad you have that and the patience. It is a wonderful shot that clearly shows the care the swan gives to it's young.

well i don't really need that much patience when it comes to shooting moments and activity like this, its wonderfull, can't think of a better way to spend a hour, lay on the grass bank
early morning sun, freah air and up close and personal to moments like this

Yeah I so hear you. Taking photos might be even better than dark chocolate, if i miss a day I start getting cranky.
But getting paid to do it, now that would be the real deal.

Oh yes, doing it for a living would be fantastic, i would never struggle getting up, or doing overtime with a camera around wildlife LOL

That is so adorable. Such an intimate moment.
I've seen a lot of swan chicks here as well, but I haven't gotten around to grabbing my camera yet.
