You wouldn't normally associate expression with such fixed facial features as birds have, but you're certainly captured a loving expression if I've ever seen one on that adult swan's face. Beautiful touching shot with lovely details

Incredible. A piece that required quite a span of patience, no doubt! Brilliant work - I really admire the way you used the light. My favorite photography of all is that which is adorable as well as technically pleasing to the eye. Lots of people do not realize that what makes a shot like this is the talent of the artist, not just the lovable moment that they've captured.

occur. 3 or 4 days once a year is the window really. And most difficult of all with wildlife is getting the right range and above all the light in the right direction. I've been after this for 3-4 years now
