FINALLY some... form of character sheet! loljust took me so long b/c.. well it takes time to come up w/ a rough draft of a character D: meh I'm just easily distracted,
but here's a SERIOUS rough draft of her personality/story... kindaI'm winging it, really

oh yea, decided that as much as I enjoy 'laurana'... her nickname from now on is 'rennie'
any comments/suggestions/critique just throw it out there!

Interesting character. But I do want to point out a few weaknesses in your character if you don't mind (but I'm doing it anyway)
Ok, first of all. Love the hair. But remember, TP is 18th century style clothing + pirate-y clothing. This looks too contemporary. The hair suits a pirate girl, but the shirt and tank really kills it. Look up Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean (pfft, even the old Treasure Island movie) perhaps the Golden Compass as well (because TP is cybersteampunk sci-fi) for clothing ideas. The locket is just fine though.
You mentioned "her behaviour even went as far as to soften even the most stubborn of pirates" eep! That is a Mary-Sue trait so don't fall into that pit hole. It's not like just looking at her behaviour would really tame a free spirited pirate. I also feel that her body is a bit too small to fit her stubborn tough cookie personality (unless she's in her preteen-teen age.) Even though the cute bruiser trope exists, but I feel somehow she needs to have a few scars and bruises somewhere. The pirates from PotC are believable because of the amount of violence there is. The characters get hurt and get scars that looks like it would take a super freakishly long time to heal.
Anyway, I hope I helped. It'll be interesting to see if you could improve with these points in mind (but don't let these dictate you. lol. They're really just suggestions)

well this is also Disney, and you forget that anything can be turned into rainbows and unicorns as long as they wanted it (vs being legit), : P so that fits in with the whole "softening pirates" category.
I tried to make the more thick in build look (how I am IRL), but then I panicked, went into denial mode about my size and shrunk her down (oh if we could all accept our size in character like Dolphy, haha..)so my fault, xP because even if I lost the weight who says I can't be tough just because I'm not big anymore? Shoot if anything that'll add speed and maybe agility to the list..
the wardrobe thing, trust me I was just happy to finally pick SOMETHING b/c my mind never stops changing - I mean just because you haven't seen it in one or two films doesn't mean it can't exist, shoot Treasure Planet itself was a bit of a mix of old (clothing and manner) and new (technology we've never amounted to yet).. but anything I'll make them look roughed up and tune it up after more research, : )
but otherwise I do understand, this was honestly my first rough on ANY OC I've ever done, creating this sheet gave me a headache honestly.. :\

I can actually imagine her being an acrobatic rigger of the whole crew (seen Sinbad Legend of the Seven Seas? Their rigger, Ratt, I can imagine her a little like that, perhaps a bit more refined though)
I understand that it gives people headaches during their firsts at reference shets, I've been there XD Keep up the good work though

well I'll def be working around the many.. *coughs* MANY rough edges, lol but thanks for the reference (actually love that movie). It's just trying to find that piece of "her" that makes her character legit and unique (and not overused, if at all possible haah..) : P
