I soar like an angel through the sky that I love
Clear and full of the things I dream of
And better, still, that I don’t lose my trail
For I have an endless multi-colored sail!

My keen ears twitch in message to me
I call back a “Nyan” for I’m coming for thee!
I’ve arrived, my friend, never fear!
Feed me my cake, your Nyan Cat is here!

You tenderly scratch the top of my head
Then gently rub my toasted bread
A contented purr rumbles up my throat
Until you left me on that boat.

I knew one day you’d come back to the ship
Say, “Excuse me, but I forgot my kit.”
I hid in the vents waiting for your return
But as weeks had passed I soon came to learn

You left me there to shrivel and die.
You must have forgotten that
I knew how to fly.
