Description
I just realized I did a darkwing duck picture with very similar colors...When I was a kid I used to sneer at people who drew in color books and colored Mickey Mouse bright orange and pink. It's weird that I am now allergic to making stuff look like it actually does.
I was inspired by [link] to paint a bridge and some purple rocks, and [link] (by Mel Olm) to attempt leaves, and both these paintings are amazing, so go check them out!

This was probably one of the first pics I faved here on DA :3
I saw it on my random deviations and I was like, "Wow, I seriously need to go back and comment on it!"
So here I am ^^ This picture is very pretty, I absolutely love the color scheme, and the way the bridge looks
Well done

I get down with the funky lighting, though I don't use it myself much. Still, I'd so live under this bridge.

Darkwing Duck! Yeah!
But I think the colours fit, though they are not natural ^^
Again: a wonderful picture

See, though, that these colorations are not random, but a unique interpretation of the composition.

Yes, this was inspired by that and a few other paintings I love the way she paints forests and tried to emulate the awesomeness, but failed, so I didn't want to be so presumptive as to suggest a similarity when mine sucked so much in comparison!

Lol, you should do so anyways. I obviously saw the resemblance. I thought for a minute you took a screen of hers, cropped it, and then used it. but looking at her piece and delving your gallery told me this is obviously not the case haha.

Of course! You have a good memory if you could recall the link so quickly, I'd forgotten it long ago :/ (I should not save things to my computer, it's a bad habit!)

Rofl. I know sandfreak since like 02 or something. Not sure if she'd remember me. We talk now and again when she's able to be on, though.

Oh forgot to mention, it would be great if one day you decided to make a tutorial on how to draw similar background.
I really like the style and atmosphere.

I just love the twilight colors! You never seize to amaze me. Just a question, what's a simple yet elegant color palette for vicorian dresses? Sorry I'm making sketches, and I want you opinion because you have a thing for soft yet bold colors.

Well.. if you know my color preferences I almost never go with soft and elegant, more like EYE RAPE! but.. popular colors during Victorian times were along the lines of rose colors (light rose and burgundy and maroon), pastel blues and yellows, navy blue, brown and black. My favorite palette is light blue alongside mahogany brown. It's kinda hard to go wrong, though.
There's an awesome website - [link] where you can get some ideas Also, [link] is sometimes useful once you've found a combo you like.

I always feel safer in nature Manmade structures make me nervous, that's why I made the bridge, it felt like it was intruding and violating a sacred space.

Wowza! As I was scrolling down slowly, I was thinking to myself, oooh I'm loving the background, those rocks are really beautifully shadedl, that bridge is so incredible!
But the part that REALLY blew me away was the brush in the foreground. That's really unique and stunning, and made me do a double-take. It's amazing what the simplest details can do.
