Description
Another school related project. We did layouts of caves to explore overlapping planes and depth. This started as a drawing and I added value in Photoshop.Related content

The depth definitely shows here! Awesome job! What really drew me in were those bones. I really like how you lit the scene, with the light coming from far off in the distance, as well as those lanterns in the foreground.

I just noticed it looks really good on thumbnail! That's another sign of correctness, I believe ^^ I know it's important to step back from a picture to see the whole thing, not just focus on details forgetting the overall construction In digital it's way easier, you can just open another window with your work and see both closeup and whole image

Yeah, it does help to see it at a distance. The value is what makes this piece, I think. I placed the values strategically so that it would be easy to see the important details. The line drawing for this is rather complex compared to this tonal study.

Wow! This is great You do really feel depth of the cave though overlapping and receding in perspective objects. But what I love is the atmosphere, the light is so nicely laid! Mostly the bones, stones and shells in foreground, really like those!
As well it's awesome to see from you something more then commissions! ^^

Yeah, the commissions are just fun, personal things. I do stuff more like this cave for school/professional stuff. I'm still learning, though.

I don't know... because of a lot of practice, I guess!
