Hello, SimbaWhat if Simba decided not to return to the pridelands when Nala found him? What if he returned too late?
I always love doing what if scenarios with Scar, so I thought I could do one for the current contest on
In this one, Scar remains as the greedy king of the pridelands, bringing darkness and despair to the kingdom. He takes Nala as queen (maybe after her return from the oasis) with whom he has an heiress that will ensure the continuity of his reign. Nala, highly resentful with both Simba and Scar, loses all hope and eventually becomes evil.

That's basically Vitani right there hehe. I always believed that Vitani was never really Zira's, but Nala and Scar's lovechild. And in a bitter rage Zira stole Vitani from Nala and brainwashed her into hating her.

In the Broadway musical version, this was actually his plan- Take Nala as his queen to get a bit more respect in the pride and have cubs so he had a line of heirs. Youtube "The Madness of King Scar", it's actually a wonderful song.
