Description
Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent, god of the Aztecs.Done after a doodle in class. I want to participate in designing our school's yearbook cover, and we need to include a dragon. I personally am very tired of seeing traditional dragons, so I sketched this in class and asked my teacher if this counted as a "dragon." Aparently Quetzalcoatl is a dragon and NOT just a bird with no legs. YES. Now I have a really cool idea of how to design it, with lots of glyphs.
First time using a texture for the back; it's kind of pixelly because it was too small and I needed to stretch it, but oh well. Hope you like! Trying to put my good 'ol Wacom to some more use.

Ya according to one of the books that I own, Quetzacoatl is an "amphithere" along with the other American dragons. There's a mothlike one in North America and a wyvernlike one down in South America.
I love this drawing~

Heh yeah! Cartoon hindu gods yey! Have you heard of "Divine Loophole?" It's a very stylized-cartoon illustrated version of the Ramayana by some Indian guy who works for Pixar. It's awesome, will try to find links for you later.
