Something I like to do is apply SeriousShader to the eyes of models. It works really well when paired with other effects on the rest of the model.

That works too or, in some instances, masslight hi-reflection.

Nice! I have found some models have/use a spa or sph file in addition to create depth and reflection.

Yes, and some of those look really good too, and this technique (in general) will work with those types of eyes as well, but really needs to be considered on a case-by-case basis as SPA files can make eyes really reflective and you could get a whitening effect which does not look good at all.

can youΒ show me a tutorial onΒ how to add weapons (PMX format) to a model that will calibrate with theΒ expression slider?

Actually, I re-read what you wrote: "that will calibrate with"
My apologies for missing the full implications of that part of your sentence. The answer is actually, given the current MMD engine, this cannot be done. If the model is static (no moving parts - like a sword) fine - the slider could be used to transform it from pen knife > dagger > sword for example. But if it has moving parts (as in a semi-automatic gun), those parts will only animate correctly at the size which their movement constraints are set.

Oh, so you can add a weapon, but you can't add a weapon that has an expression slider that will mess up the vertex.

Yep, the expression sliders won't scale; needs to be used at the size that the model was built at. But do note that you can resize the weapon and generally the sliders will still work correctly. It is just that MMD has no mechanism to support dynamic scaled expressions.

Yes! I can see why a tutorial on doing something like this can be useful, it's actually really easy to do, too; added to my To-Do list. Thanks for the idea!

Hi, Hi, I have one question -Β What base you used? it isn't TDA Base, I am right?

This is an original model by HGM. All I did was to add some functional and cosmetic enhancements; the model as shown looks more or less exactly as she does as built by the original modeler.

How can i make the eye reflection??? When Luka saw Miku her eyes ball has MIku Reflection in it!
π: 0 β©: 1
Trackdancer In reply to Sangabc [2015-03-04 02:31:56 +0000 UTC]
Something like that needs to be done in an external post production process. No way I can think of that it can currently be done natively in MMD.

Can i make a little transparent layer on the eyes and use tk_grid floor effect on it?????

Trackdancer In reply to Sangabc [2015-03-05 19:26:26 +0000 UTC]
I have no idea.
But why the bother, if all you want is a reflection of Miku in Luka's eyes, and assuming that this is for a picture, easiest and best way is to just use Photoshop. If you're doing an animation, your camera really has to be focused on Luka's face to see the reflection. Why go through all the trouble for what at best is a few seconds of video?

Thank you it because i want the model to look realistic that it!

After having developed a technique to add "natural" refraction to the lenses of glasses myself, I can really appreciate this close attention to the finer details of models - well done!

Paying attention to the little details is the real secret to doing really well at anything, but you know that already.
