Description How to work with some of the other types of non-humanoid models available for MMD.

The T-Rex used in the tutorial was converted for use in MMD by ~Valforwing and you can find it, together with other dinosaurs, creatures and props in his galleries. The version used is one of 5 available in the same d/l package and is unmodified. I've used it quite often in the past and it is simply superb.

A useful addition I've found for reptilian models is to add a control bone like you used for fingers for things like tails or multi-bone necks so that you can easily get a natural looking pose/movement.

DANG!! You know, that sounds like a really good idea! Going to have to implement it one of my models.

i've been trying to make more HQ dino models lately

i used simple rigging for the JPOG ones because they kinda have a ridgid bone system in the game.

best to look like the original eh? i'll try to do better in the future. the Primal carnage models are very rigged.

I just simply love this one and as I stated, this particular one I've used quite a few times. Have to check out your primal carnage models though. They look promising!
