From memory, the trees were burnt pretty bad but I think they managed to survive

I really like this photo. The flames are very vividly captured, and it's nicely composed, too - the left third of the picture is virtually untouched by flames, the other two thirds are consumed by it. Very, very nice!

Thank you for your kind words, I had to get pretty close considering I only had my digital cam handy, but it was well worth it
