[link]Deprival - Deprivation, to remove or withhold something from the enjoyment or possession of someone.
the Deprivals can be found lurking the foggy white halls of silent
hill's desolate asylum. these creatures are the souls of trapped
patients weighed down by the weight of their sins forever
trapped in the limbo of silent hill. Engraved on the heads of
these creatures are unique numbers that represent the patient
that they were before they passed on or didn't pass on. these
creatures will let out a powerful supersonic screech in order to
paralyze its victims and attempt to absorb their life trough its
facial pore. when these creatures absorb life they breath in
deeply making a wheezy deep inhalation sound. when
successfully absorbing life, a red mist (similar to misty blood)
can be seen transferring from the victims pores to the Deprival
facial pore. If a Deprival completely absorbs a life they violently
transform into the being in witch they stole the life from then
continue lurking the halls as a new being oblivious to their
previous life as a Deprival. Deprivals are brittle beings and can
be easily destroyed using a blunt object. when in a straitjacket
16 can lunge at Deprivals to disorientate them but cannot kill them.
you may realize that 16 is a patient as well... hmmm...
is she a deprival... was she a deprival... did she steel a soul...

So how would they absorb the life from people? Do they split open or have some kind of thin needle proboscis?
