I don't think eevees would care much for thunder.
But that's what mommy (or daddy) umbreons are there for~For the contest to show a pokeomon's reaction to the first thunderstorm of the year. I can't say I don't like the picture, but I think I rushed it too much because the contest ends today ... ah well~ ^^
Comments and critiques encouraged.
Done in PS CS4, and used brushes from here , here , and here .

I think it's very detailed. The Umbreon looks very protective and peaceful of it's baby eevees.

Hmmm ... Daddy jolteon wanted to get struck by lightning out in the storm because it's a thrill for electric pokemon, and it charges them. But he was overdoing it a little and scaring his eevees. :3

I love how the Eevee's react to the thunder while the Umbreon (looks like a mom) tries to comfort them by saying "There there, it's ok. Mama's here to comfort you." Anyway, I think you did a great job. Even though it seemed as though you've rushed creating this at the time, it looks very nice.
