I don't think eevees would care much for thunder.
But that's what mommy (or daddy) umbreons are there for~For the contest to show a pokeomon's reaction to the first thunderstorm of the year. I can't say I don't like the picture, but I think I rushed it too much because the contest ends today ... ah well~ ^^
Comments and critiques encouraged.
Done in PS CS4, and used brushes from here , here , and here .

Awww. I have to say that the umbreon is my favorite part of this piece. The eevees do look a more cartoony than the momma, but I love them anyways. The lightning is awesome!and so is the cave... and the lighting in general. Wonderful and I love the feeling! ^______^

I think the umbreon is my favorite part of the picture too~ ^^ I noticed that the eevees looked a little bit cartoonier, but eventually I was like ... ah well. *lazy* XP I think it's the line thickness ... probably. I should be a little more careful about that.

btw, i heard if you breed (like on a pokemon game) a ditto with another pokemon (like on a pokemon game) you'll get that pokemon. well say you breed a Flareon with a ditto will you get an Eevee?

Very cute picture. ^_^ I know the Umbreon isn't necessarily female, but if she is, then I think that's pretty cool. I personally see Umbreon as feminine since it's... curvy... As my girlfriend once pointed out. XD
I appreciate it when people turn the gender norms around a bit, so even if the Umbreon is male, than he's cool for taking on the "motherly" role. ^_^

Thanks! I know, most of the eevees seem to have stereotypical genders (espeons are always female, jolteons always male, blah blah ...), so I'm just leaving it up to whoever wants it to be what here.

I always think of Espeon as male because I'm a guy and Espeon is my favorite Pokemon. XD I realize I'm in the minority there, though I do know a a lot of guys on DA who identify as Espeon as well, so it's all good. ^_^

That's rare, but I like it ... I don't want all espeons to be female just because they're kinda pinkish. XP I know I'll end up drawing a male espeon sometime just to mix things up a little. >3

Yeah, I think that's mainly where the stereotype comes from; the pinkish color. I usually think of Espeon as purple, since I first saw Espeon in the original Gold version. The newer games seem to have made Espeon more pink, probably to better reflect the anime.
I like seeing male Espeon on the rare occasion that I see a picture of one. ^_^ I also like odd Eeveelution pairs; Espeon x Vaporeon is my favorite, mostly because my girlfriend loves Vaporeon and I love Espeon. ^_^ I think Jolteon and Umbreon look good together, too. I really like shiny Umbreon and Glaceon.

Hooray! You're someone who isn't a diehard EspeonXUmbreon fan! Not that I dislike the pairing, but if there are a billion pokemon out there, not EVERY espeon has to be with an umbreon.

I don't mind Espeon x Umbreon either, but I can't say that I'm a fan. My reasoning is this: I believe that in a relationship, both partners should be equal. Because of that, I tend to dislike Pokemon couples in which one has a type advantage over the other, but that's just me. I know I'm reading too much into things, but I'm into symbolism and such, so yeah. XD

I like it. I have all the Eeveelutions in my Pearl, male and female, and a shiny of each too. Lots of Eevees. This fits in my story, the Father Umbreon and Mother Umbreon have two Eevees, but the mother dies, and a thunder storm errupts, the babies are scared and curious, and the father holds them tight and grieves. They even live in a place like this. You should win.
