Dr. Danny will see you now.^_^I have to admit, I never really got into this fad (or really understood it, for that matter). But this picture comes as a request from , who IS into it and wanted to see my take on it. So here we go.
Actually, the image came into my head fairly easily. I thought this presentation would look cool, having "Dr. Danny" stepping out into a pure white room, looking almost like he's stepping out from another dimension, itself. All in all, I think it works well.
But we'll see what you all think. , this one's for you. I hope you like what you see. And seeing as how you're going through a bit of a rough time right now, I also hope it cheers you up. As for everyone else, I just hope you like it.^_^

I suppose that would probably be Raphael...especially in the new Nickelodeon series they've got right now.

i hate the new one that they have i like the 2003 version better but i do agree i like Raphael the best too and i love mikey too

Well, I think this new series is fairly well-written...not to mention funny as hell.^_^ But that's just me. The 2003 version kind of annoyed me in parts. While they did try to stay true to the original 80s graphic novels in some respects, by the end, there were like three or four different Shredders on record, which to me, was kinda dumb. I mean, don't these people have any original ideas, they've all gotta spin it off one guy?

Well, again, mostly that every single main villain had to become a new Shredder. I mean, come on, after Shredder #3, that kind of got a little ridiculous.

Well, I've got other, smaller beefs with the writing, too (not even worth mentioning, really). But that was the really BIG one.

Well, like I say, it's not my favorite. Again, I liked the design and animation fine, but I did think the writing was kind of weak in areas. I guess that's just it, though. While I still like cartoons, as I've grown, my criteria for what makes a cartoon good have..."evolved", let's say.

that's awesome that your drew this one for your friend. I haven't even heard of this fad so it was completely new to me.But I think Danny would make a great doctor, if he wasn't saving the world from angry ghosts everyday. . .

Well, I get my fair share of requests from fans and friends. So I'm well used to it. But yeah, this whole "Dr. Danny" thing is something that kind of came out about a year or so ago. It really picked up steam for a few months, then dropped off again. But lately, it's started making a resurgence.
AS for Danny making a good doctor, well, he could pretty much be anything he wants...if he didn't want to be an astronaut, first.^_^

Well, in my fanfics, Tucker still is Mayor. Although in a few stories from now, I will be introducing the fact that he's going to have to actually run for election soon, which he is going to find quite challenging...^_^

Glad you like it. Actually, in retrospect, I think the eyes are a little skewed (something I didn't notice quite as much when I was working on it. I might come back and touch that up a little later (it shouldn't take much). In the meantime, though, I'm glad you like it and that it was able to brighten your day.
By the way, I knew you were having a rough time from that one art post you did a few days ago. I certainly hope you're feeling better now.^_^

Well, the eyes are one of those things where I just looked at it and it seemed REALLY off. And then I'll look at it again and it doesn't seem to bad. Kinda weird.
Well, I'm sorry that you kind of hit a rough patch. But you know, if drawing is something you really love to do, you shouldn't give up on it. I mean, I've been drawing, literally, since I could pick up a pencil. And when I was a kid, I knew right away that there were people who could draw better than me. But instead, I let that inspire me to do better. Even now, I know there are people out there better than me. But that's why I keep trying to improve with every pic I do. And literally, with every pic I do, I learn something I didn't know before.
I will admit, there was a time when I was younger, when I walked away from drawing for quite a while. The funny thing is, though, when I came back to it, I found out I had actually gotten better at it. Because I hadn't done it in so long, I was looking at it from a whole new perspective.
Not that I'm saying you should do that, mind you. Again, it's like I say, if you love it, keep doing it. And as you keep doing it, your style will evolve. And as your style evolves, people WILL notice. Also, if there's something you want to ask for advice on, don't be afraid to. Those of us who are your friends will be more than happy to provide it.
All I'm saying is, don't worry about it. Just keep plugging away.^_^

Well, that kind of feeling is natural. I just kind of take into consideration that some of these people have been on the site longer than I have. Some of these people have been submitting more than I have (I originally singed on to DA to look at other people's artwork, not to submit my own). Even though I've been a member for upwards of four years, I only started making submissions for the last two. So those that are better than me, I have to take with a grain of salt.
Again, though, like I say, anytime I run across some work I know is better than mine, I let it inspire me to improve. And I have gotten a lot better than I was when I started (at least, from a Photoshop standpoint). There's also another way of looking at it, which I adopted from my fanfics (I was writing those long before I started drawing here), and that is, I kind of see myself as a buried treasure here on the net. I may not be able to claim the audience size that others can boast, but the ones who do like my work are extremely loyal.
And maybe that's something to hold onto on your end. Believe me, I also saw the responses that poured in when you submitted that pic. You do have friends and a loyal following out there. Remember that.^_^
