The fail safe for Sasuke-kun is Madara. Atleast for now he seems to be wanting for Sasuke to live and if that is the case he will live. I doubt that Madara will be muicalculating. Maybe he will step in soon enough himself.

Er, I think he's made it abundantly clear how he feels about Konoha. His anger has always far outweighed his feelings for his teammates. It's one of Sasuke's few faults in my opinion. And it's a really big one. D:

Perhaps. But, I'm a cynic and Kishimoto-sensei is an asshole, so I still think it's going to come down to one last battle between himself and Naruto, and we all know no matter how unlikely it seems, Naruto would be the victor because he's the "star" of the manga. -.-
