Description

Jonathan Bouchard

Age: 33
Nationality: British/French
Hair colour: Blonde
Eye Colour: Green
Height: 1,85m
Occupation: Self-proclaimed “Obtainer”
Current Residence: Whitechurch Manor, London

Jonathan is probably one of the most unexpected additions

to the Whitechurch Society since our dear Sydney. Actually,
he is a lot like him. Not that either of them would ever
want to admit that. They bicker like school boys and we
all know the reason why. When did this house turn into a
soap opera?
As I was saying: Jonathan joined us after I decided to hire
him as a freelancer for a job which involved his particular set
of skills. Usually, I try to avoid dealings with criminal elements
and Jonathan Bouchard surely is walking a fine line.
He’s a talented witch, powerful and well-versed in his craft.
In addition to that he’s fluent in French, Spanish, Antillean
Creole and can at least hold a conversation in German.
He’s been travelling a lot for his job as an “Obtainer", which
is French for thief among other things. However, Jonathan has
proven himself to be an asset and so I decided to offer him
a permanent position. I do believe that he only accepted it
because he has taken a shine to Velkan. Those two are a
match made in... well, I would say hell, but they are happy and
that’s what counts... I suppose.
Jonathan is a free spirit. Intelligent but reckless and I do
believe that we have to keep an eye on him. For now, I think
his affection for Velkan and the monthly pay plus lodgings will
assure his loyalty but we have to see if this arrangement can
last. He’s very proud of his reputation and his connections and
he has some friends in rather high places of the underworld, so
keeping him entertained and on our side should prove helpful.

Additional upload of the picture used in Character File #1 - Jonathan Bouchard since I'm getting the strong feeling my fancy folder mock-up was a little detrimental to the success of the picture compared to my usual track record

Well then, at least he's enjoying himself...good grief he's getting gritty.

Right? I mean look at that, he's not even shaving his armpit hair, hehe. I like the gritty look, though, the torn shirt etc. He can clean up if he wants to, though.

It's insane, isn't it? It's a Genesis 3 set called "Jeans and button-up shirt". It's one of the add-on textures and probably one of the best I have ever seen. The entire set is pretty amazing.

Thank you

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ulysses3DArt In reply to bhodahamna [2019-01-06 12:58:39 +0000 UTC]

bhodahamna In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2019-01-06 14:01:13 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ulysses3DArt In reply to bhodahamna [2019-01-06 18:31:12 +0000 UTC]

Ulysses3DArt In reply to portisHeart [2019-01-06 13:01:20 +0000 UTC]

By now, yes. I really HATE the long rendering times because that completely interrupts my workflow but overall, yes, I'm settling in

I'm so happy with that new design for the character. The old version no matter what he was, student or teacher or whatever, it never really slotted with the other characters. It was always the YA thing about the human and the amazing supernaturals. Now he's truly part of that world. ^^

Thanks

portisHeart In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2019-01-06 14:47:43 +0000 UTC]

why, is rendering in daz - or iray specifically - longer than in poser? i dunno, i only have poser debut, a very very light version without many options, and i hate the interface hence i don't use it much (i'm also too lazy to try getting to know the UI, lol)

your style has completely changed into hyper-realistic (i actually started following your comix-like period), it's interesting ^^

i like his looks (just his face is a bit very masculine for my own taste, the "old" Jon was finer and i prefer this type of dudes).
no comment about his background etc, because there have been so many changes, reboots, updates to your london verse as much in the story as with the charas that i've given up following the details, i'd need a manual, lmao XD - and i have like a gazillion other things already overwhelming my attention ^^

Ulysses3DArt In reply to portisHeart [2019-01-09 01:50:29 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I was rendering in Poser still using Firefly which wasn't physics based. Usually, my renders were done in like 30 minutes or so XD

But yeah, it changed a lot. I actually went for comic and stylized etc. because the results in Poser never really looked stellar. I still try to put my own spin on the images. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

portisHeart In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2019-01-09 12:51:01 +0000 UTC]

i've seen there's a firefly thingie in the daz iray render panel too. no idea why it's included and how it's related tho, lol. never tried to switch it off either. but yeah, wowowow 30 min for those massive huge renders you make, i could only dream about that. if i really want to render a complete scene (in 1200x900!!) i do it when i sleep, hiding my laptop from my critters - it takes hours. but well, i just discovered my laptop ignores my gpu while rendering, and uses only cpu, so no wonder (no need to go into this, i already did and i'm sick of the topic) ~

true, putting your own spin when everything done by everyone looks hyper-realistic is a challenge ^^
