From the moment he confessed that there's no "Atlas" but Fontaine, I wanted to take a revenge on him; closer to his hideout I was, more excited I became, and then just like you, killed him mercilessly, but felt the same. Through all gameplay I'd been so devoted to Atlas, he was always with me when I felt lost in the Rapture; so even the anger when found out that his existence is a lie couldnt cover my desolation after loosing /killing with my own hands/ a person about whom I'd been thinking as about the closest friend.
Haha, when I bought Bioshock I've just wanted to play a nice shooter placed in post-apocalyptic city, which Rapture somehow definitely is; I hadn't the slightest idea that I would get emotionally involved so badly XD
