well.... I am an old rock guitar player from way back. been playing just about all my life. I just discovered an old video from the 70's on you tube of me and my old band playing in northern VA.......... anyway...... right now I play an Ibanez . always loved the gibson SG though. this work on the explorer is dead on. the re-work you did on the bridge looks like the old tone-a-matic bridge to me. my only problem with this render is you have the action set a little too high for my taste.......lol

way wow! notmy kind of guitar (i´m not into rock music) but a cool depiction, especially loving the shadow of the grid, which is one of my main themes in photomanipulation...

I love this so much. looking at buying a new acoustic right now.

I think you need to tighten the truss rod and the bridge just a bit though..... the action on that is gon be prety slow. general rule of thumb is 5 frets in, a "hard"" pick should barily hold its self up between the fret devidor and the top 3 strings. if it falls than your action is gon be slow, if it is hard to put in or take out you are gonna hear buzzing. it looks to me as if you could fit 2, maybe even 3 picks in there which means your gonna have to work to push the strings down, and the riffs up at the top of the neck are gonna leave marks in your fingers for days.

Realism is prety damn spot on, and inspiring for me to make my own as a side project while i get back in the groove of things myself.

Might be a trick of the light playing on the reflections, but you happen to be using Freestyle in this one?  Everything seems to have some sort of outline.

Oh, and pretty kickass modelling by the way.  About how many hours did you sink into this thing?
