Name says it all...hehe...I love comin up with names that fit the image(even if they might not make much sence to anyone)But anyway this is my hard work at 3DS max and PSCS
The moons, planet and Asteroid rings were made in Max while the rest was in PSCS
I tried really hard not to make bold lines on the starscape in the background and yet i was not in the mood to make a Neb' so I was inspired by Greg martins idea of a great spacescape with colors gases and such that doesnt show in a simple small Neb' in the background...I might add also not to whine about the stars in some areas...i was tryin for clusters on where stars are made from(which are very dense)
But I hope you likes because of the extreme time I put into this piece had made me lose count of the hours and layers(the .PSD was over 200MBs)
NOTE(!): Alot of this was tests but I loved how it came out

I agree...it's done wonderfully and colours make it look hardcore (lol)...it looks like it's on fire in parts or really smokey...I like it heaps...what's doing at the moment?

Brillant work, lovely colours and composition, great texture, maybe the asteroids/ring's rocks look to big mainly towards the back, but still looks impressive, nice work and a fav!

but like dfk said the shadow on planet looks kinda dodgy i only mean because i cant see any obvious direct light sources but i dunno, im no astronomer
i know all the asteroids look different but in a way they kinda seem strange, they dont get as small as youd expect from that perspective when they are all the way behind the planet- unless ofcourse its a tiny planet but then why would it have such strong gravity maybe its made of pure *insert heavy substance name here*?
Dont get me wrong man i would be really happy if i could do lighting and colours so well and if i could make all the asteroids and planet in one render at once XD

they come to me a vision while I could be doin anyhting with my daily life...ya know like *flash!* "ahh! asteroids in the mind!" .::crashes into a parked car while on bike at 20 MPH::. something like that...lmao or I'll be absolutely bored and want to do some art and just start messin around when *BAM!* "Bah-hah-hah-haaaaa! I have an idea!" and I'll spend the next who knows how many hours workin on something through out the day(s)

well yes and no...one is I have quite a bit of time on my hands around this time(fromt he breakin of the bone and still healing fully) and then its the tab too
I spend between 10 - 20 hours on each work...matters how many probs I ran into during the maikin...this one had alot so I lost the time

great job bud. Only thing (not sure if you were going for realism) but asteroids are usually not that big that circle planets, (for example saturn). Other than that, i love it, especially the colors. Oh and last thing, did you get the lighting wrong? like coming from the planet? The gases are behind all the asteroids, so we shouldnt really see much texture at all (far back asteroids) or is there a star close. Anyways great job
