Description
This is my toolbox. It's modified from a pattern in an old magazine I got at a garage sale. I had to make it bigger to accommodate all my hooks. The pocket under the scissors holds a tape measure, thimble, and assorted odds and ends tools I use.
I wouldn't leave home without it

THIS is a really neat idea, and very well executed! I'll have to make something similar for myself!

Is this the pattern? The site seems to be down, but I managed to get it via the wayback machine. It looks like yours, kind of... I wouldn't have gone looking for it if I hadn't stumbled upon your dev-page, so thanks for the inspiration!

That is nearly identical! The pattern I have doesn't have the flower and decorations, but otherwise it looks very very similar.
Thanks for finding that and posting the link. There are lot of folks who will enjoy using that pattern!

All of the pokemon and mario brothers patterns I offer for free on my blog here: [link] (look to the right side of the page and scroll down a little, the entire pattern list is there)
I also offer a few of my patterns (that aren't based on cartoon or game characters) on my etsy, that you can find here: [link]
If there is a pattern here that I don't have in one of those two places send me a note, I MAY have in written down in one of my notebooks.

Do you still have the pattern? Or maybe a link to the pattern? As my hook collection keeps growing, I am finding I need a storage solution for them. This is the perfect thing, as I could keep my hooks, scissors and safety pins all together!

No I don't I recently went to look for it, because I need to make myself a new one and couldn't find it anywhere.
I think I'm just going to have to break down and start on one anyway, I'll just have to do it on the fly and write down what I do as I go (like I do with all of the patterns I design). If I do that, I'll be sure to post it here

very nice now i wanna craft my very own 'toolbox'
but as i am just a beginner, it'll take a lil' time until i finish it
i have a question tho': are aluminum hooks better than plastic/acrilic ones?

W0IfDreamer In reply to ero-hebi [2009-03-18 21:12:13 +0000 UTC]
The question of which hooks are better is entirely a personal choice In addition to plastic and aluminum, there are bamboo, wood, bone and some others. It doesn't hurt to have a variety of hooks (sizes and materials), in time you'll decide which types of hooks work the best for you.
Be warned tho, collecting different and exotic hooks can quickly become an expensive obsession!
LOL, trust me on that one
