While the bricks may be more permanent than other building materials, generations come and go, the cycle of life keeps moving, economies change and moving along often happens. The red of the bricks goes well with the greenery, and that sky tops it off.

Actually, they are not even bricks. It is a material called insull-brick... kind of like buffalo board with a brick pattern placed on it. It is really a pressed paper like material

One of the more 'intact' structures you've shot eh? How's the inside?

The inside was pretty good at the time, but the building has now been torn down

Stunning old building! That's a shame that they tore it down, it would have looked magnificent if it was renovated or even left as it was.
Good thing you caught it while it was still up, magnificent shot

the slightly increasing of darkness of atmosphere gives it a slight sinister feel to the photo. the surroundings, house and scenery is captured so well and the dullness of the house tell alot

Beautifully atmospheric – which sounds cliché but actually the mood here is wonderful; it does make us wonder about what happened to the people who inhabited this house, how they lived, why it was abandoned...

A most impressive image and a very dramatic sky. I like the eyebrows above the second story windows, make it look like it's watching for someone to come home.

I should have just googled his name.
I am not good with remembering directors, but as soon as I read some of is work, I remembered seeing the movies. Thanks for this.
