Description
Sometimes a presence seems to remain in these old buildings. Often it speaks of the joys and pleasures of long gone the inhabitants.But sometimes these buildings hold other things.

whatever other thing such buildings hold, the (past) presence of people is what I think makes it special... and whatever things they might have experienced there, they're precious, like any story.
we have a saying in this parts that translates something like.. "it is man who makes a place sacred"

It seems to have a very dark & eerie personality. How much of this is the lighting technique (filter) you used & home much of it is natural?

well, all of the details were there in the original RAW. I made sure the clouds were retained in the processing as well as the details in the house. (Basically the EV's were compacted).
I then added three more layers (of various strengths) that darkened the over all image. Then I cut away the areas I wanted to be lighter...like the house. Finally I burned in around the bottom and edges to make those areas darker.
So in essence it was all there, I just changed the intensity of it in various parts of the image.

the atmosphere in this picture just has alot going go...with the dark skies and a house in what seems the middle of nowhere..i like it !
