Here actually just the 'pencil' tool in SAI (since I only did the lineart, I'm sure my friend used a few more ^^).

Oh wow, that looks fantastic! Great collab! And I know how you feel. The coloring/shading part is the area I'm lacking as well. It's just not as much fun (to me) as sketching, but it would make the drawings SO much better if I could shade properly. 8[

I am the same, almost every other part of drawing is more fun to me, but mostly the sketching. I like outlining an idea, and then I lose interest. It's a pity, and I think my focus is shifting a little, but I still have a lot to learn. Ah, well.
Kelpien, yes. XD I have no idea what a "female Saru" actually looks like, and went the incredibly boring route of making her look like the male counterpart. Maybe it'll all have to be put into an AU or I get to redraw it if they turn out to look different. D: I hope not, lol.
