O_O holy smokes.

This looks fantastic! Your attention to detail and shading is quite admirable. This is certainly one beast I don't want to run into, sword or otherwise. XD

Yeah, scans have a tendency to ruin color sometimes, but even so, this is still rather vibrant. I can just imagine how stunning it looks at a darker gradient.

Thanks! I actually tend to worry about lighting and shading (but not as much as lighting) yet when I do it, it turns out better than I expect. Sometimes I know what I want, but other times it can be hard to control that since I am doing this completely out of my head.

Thanks again! College is teaching me well about value structure and composition arrangement, and also observational skills...even though I am not much of a fan of drawing completely from observation (I HATE STILL LIVES!!! Ugh...), it helps improve my imganitive skills and makes them stronger.

Cool!! i like the colours and how you iz blended them! their is soo many shades of yellow,orange and redz! and the hero is doing an awesome job,of slowly chopping of the headz of the hydra!! Heheehe!

Thanks! I just realized when I look at it on here it's not as bright and intense as the actual thing for some reason. I knew I probably should have done something in Photoshop real quick cause it's supposed to be a lot darker. Oh well...
