It is not lifeless black and white, but shining pearls, and it makes it gorgeous. This touch is also very creative compared to other pieces where the colors were not changed at all. The focus in this piece is also amazing. Overall, it is a very nice picture."

Some comments from the judges: "I love the color contrast in this picture - I find that blue and yellow look very nice together. My favorite part about this piece is the sun and it's rays. It is really lovely. It is a very skilled piece, the way it focuses on that flower, then the other flower is blurred, but then the sun is blurred in the background but at the same time it is being focused on. I also love the title and I feel like it fits. This picture just struck me as beautiful."

The first in a series of PHOTOGRAPHY Contests which I will be hosting.
This one will feature MACRO Photography.
Specifically, Macro Photos of Nature.


Stats:
Ends June 30, 2013 - 12:00 Midnight Pacific time.

Rules:
You may use anything in nature as your subject but the photo must be a macro shot.
Include a description of your photo in your gallery where you post your entry, along with a link to this contest journal.
Photography only; manipulations or heavy edits will be disqualified.
YOU MUST FAVORITE THIS JOURNAL.
Must make a journal pointing to this one, then post a link here so that I can verify you.
Must be original work created specifically for this contest.
You may submit only one entry!
There must be a minimum of 5 entries to this contest or it will  be cancelled/rescheduled.
All art must be properly tagged, and in compliance with Deviantart's standards; 18 or older tagged material is acceptable as long as it is still in compliance with dA's rules.

S P E C I A L: When this contest ends, critiques on any or all entries will be allowed to be posted here in the journal by anyone interested in doing so. These critiques will have no impact on the judges' determinations.
However, anyone creating a critique post (within 7 days after the contest ends) will be entered into a drawing for 100

well if you know a bit about photography I am using the 50 mm macro ZUIKO professional lens, and my subject is veronica, very tiny flowers.

As a professional photographer, I dont see any real macro photos entered in your contest, except mine. So it´s a shame to have this hostile demeanor with me...

Your photo was entered the other day.
The message I sent you was by mistake.
I deleted it within 2 minutes time of posting it.
I clicked and was taken to a photo which was not macro by any means.
Perhaps it was the journal, I don't know. When I clicked the new link I saw your entry was valid.

I apologize for the misunderstanding. And I'm sorry you feel I have had a hostile demeanor with you.
In fact, I have been extremely busy the last 2 weeks and in the middle of it my laptop died, which left me without internet access for days.

Anyway, it is all sorted out now (is it not?) so it's all good I believe.
