lol I spent faaar too long on this... Crowds... another thing to add to the "never draw you again" list.~PCBC Page One!! This is the buildup, basicly I've decided that we're gunna fight it out in this little stadium here, its supposed to be like a Colosseum, cos when Sheepi plays Pokemon its like the Roman Bloodsports.
This time featuring Moar! delicious anime heroes; that Ash thing was meant to be just a gag for the Intro comic, but I figure I'll run this as something of an underlying storyline.

CAMEOS's GALORE!!! xDDD You guys are the reason this took 3 days to make, rather then just the one afternoon like I had planned; no particular reason for picking you guys, you were just all in the PCBC Chatroom at the right time. Hopefully more to come in future!

DIGLETT IN A POT. THAT IS FUCKING BADASS. FUCKING BADASS. Great job with the toning. The only thing that could improve this is a font change. It would get at least 200% more badass.

haha ever since I started these pages I've gained a huge amount of respect for you churning these out every week 
I couldn't imagine doing this AND another comic simultaneously. I'm so used to slowly working through just the 2-3 character pictures; tryna draw, ink and colour all these quickly is something I defiantly need to learn... fast!

Lol. That's true. Working on that comic has a plus side, though. It tought me to work faster and more efficiently, while trying to avoid the rushed-look as much as possible. My regular, non-comic pictures have also become faster and easier to make.

xDD I'm working on featuring more, I need a more economical way of doing it though, the 8-9 I've got here just took forever to draw up
I think drawing any of the mundane stuff just kills me though, I had a few other pages planned but I think I'm gunna cut them out and jump into the battles a page or two earlier!
and WOW I can't imagine how hellishly gay it would be to draw the crowds up doing it traditionally though.. my ctrl+z keys were really gasping for air by the time I'd finished with this one!

Hahaha. When I did a lot of digital art and switched to traditional, I'd naturally reach for ctrl+z, and be upset when my left hand couldn't find it.
Drawing mundane stuff is tough, I dislike having to consider the background and stadium soooo much in the panels, but I'm just put-putting along and expecting stuff to come together naturally, making mental notes for where it'll be and focusing more on the trainers and Pokemon. Hopefully that will do.
But backgrounds is good practice! Eep.

haha I found myself doing that a lot at school last year as well, it's just so instinctive for me now to just reach for the undo button XD!
I'm gunna have to find some creative ways to reduce the background work as much as possible in future, with the action I guess I go pretty abstract with the background colours, or maybe I'll just do some hyper low angle shows that only show sky...
