Sorry for all the grammatical errors, I'm not really very good in the English grammar!!!Thank you a lot to for helping me to fix the grammar!!!
When I start this, I was so afraid of what could happen if I ost it, but I'm happy of doing right now!
Before someone say something like: WHO ARE YOU TO TELL HOW MAKE OCs?!?!?! Well, I not order you to read or follow what it says, I did this Tutorial for everybody that would like read it or for those new artists that doesn't know how start their stories and everything! Because today we seen so many gallery of people full of talent but that only does always bishonens or pretty girls (or boys that look like pretty girls), that doesn't risk to try new styles or ideas for fear of what other people could say!
So, if I insulted someone with this tutorial, I apologize and not take it personal because this is my opinion only!

The only thing I disagree with is the part about '(Nonhuman entity) doesn't want to be human'. Why not? If you're the writer, the one creating the character and the story, why not have a nonhuman character want to be human, or treated normally? Saying they don't want it sounds like you're trying to tell everyone how to write.
I have a character I'm working on perfecting (still) who is humanoid in appearance, but little quirks(inhuman strength he doesn't realize, unable to stop fighting till his opponent is dead-he was, programmed that way) easily give away the fact that he is not human(and was in fact created by an alchemist). But he wants very much to be human
And your part about the romance and friends and them not always ending up together I don't really agree with. The writer chooses who falls in love with who, and if the writers wants it to be two close friends, why not? They can start out as friends, but end up falling in love you know. I mean, you're not going to fall in love with a total stranger, the character has to befriend them first(unless it's a 'love at first sight' thing). Two childhood friends may not end up together, but if the writer wants them to, then that is their decision.
Your use of saying 'they can't' all the time makes it seem like you're trying to dictate what the author writes about, and NO ONE likes that.

I didn't want to say that no one can wish for be a human, I say that there can be more things than being human, I mean, you doesn't have to be human to be treat normal, is like say that you can't do something just for be from another religion or nationality
and about the romance, I said that because most of people sometimes think that just because there is a woman and there is a man in ANY story, there is like a rule about both of them end up being a pairing, is like, it is impossible to a boy and a girl to be just good friends and nothing more!
this is not a book of rules you should follow, is just like a list of tips to people which is just starting and don't know how to, obviusly, everybody will learn new things by themself and make their own style in the way of writting or drawing (did you read my author's comment?)

Really helpfull. I have my owns proyects and I think in a lot of things like this when I start the making up. My point of view is really different from what "all people likes" this days, but things I thought like common sense for have in mind at the time of write a story or make a character... are not of common sense at all. I see with the past of the years how all the time the fans get the same tipe of stereotypes and use and reuse it again and again. At this day I'm bored of see so much highschool or magical-guy-demon/angel-who have a cool apperance and a divine mission and as you say he's loved for everyone at the second and forget about is really weird some thing like that get down to the Earth. I really would love to see more original stories and characters with more interesting psychology...
I hope things like this helps with that and open some minds a little more. Mostly fans maybe will copy the fashion of the moment, that's inevitable; but is not like in the stereotypes at least we can't give some twist or innovate for make things personal and interesting.

los estereotipos empezaron desde que alguien saco alguna historia de la cual otra gente gusto e hizo las propias con personajes que simbolizaran algo en particular, aunque eso no significa que sean completos estereotipos, si uno les da una chispa en particular, pueden ser personjes completamnete nuevos a la vista normal!

this goes hand-in-hand with a test i found for measuring your character as a mary-sue. (i gots lots of work to do cuz some of my OCs are border-line or anti-sue. XD) i need to work on their appearance now! >_< (note to self: must work on 80% of characters' appearances, since 20% are already re-worked >.>)

hmmmm I really don't understand people who need a tutorial like you said because they haven't ideas or don't wanna try new styles because I think they just need fantasy Ö_Ö that's all. I think when they haven't enough fantasy or inspiration to create a charakter then they shouldn't try.

that is actually true, sometimes the only thing you need for this is to be inspired!
but I do know some people who also feel better when can have a some help of how just "start", everybody can have their ways of do it, you can just say to them "if you can do something enough good now, just don't try", the idea is that they don't stop of try

This is lovely tutorial, thank you for sharing.
Though not every character should be a sterotype, it never hurts to mix in all different kinds of personalities. Still, your tips are very good on how to make characters that are fresh and new.

actually, at this moment, you can't create a character that in any moment is a stereotype, is it normal, but the idea is to make the have a special touch to don't make you see which stereotype is just at the first look at it
heh, yeah I know that, but the thing I mean here is that also, not all the vampires (or others) will be all sexy or hot boys and girls who looks like 18 years old youngters

yes. The point that everyone has their flaws s well as good points, and not all those good points = sexy and talented (sometimes a good trait is just loyalty) is what I thought you were saying with this tutorial, which is one of the most important parts of creating a believable OC, I think.

I'd like to add one thing: one or two pictures can't describe a character ._." I have for example 3 main OCs and all of them look really stereotypical. They all have other traits, what cannot be seen by a few pictures ._." So i might add that
All OCs depend on their personal stories. Some stories require stereotypes, and those can be amazingly good (Hellsing for example. The whole manga is just one huge pose-pack for Alucard xD All main characters can be described in 3 poses) And it's still epic C:
