Exiting VR interface...The room around you looks dusty and totally clutterd like a bomb has gone off you can't resist a cough, though it's difficult to do so. In fact impossible, until you realize you are still bathed in a fluid capsule. However it's severely cracked and you can feel the pull of highly viscous oxygen rich fluid exiting the capsule in gulps, tugging at your skin and around your ankles.
You also remember that somehow you were infected by a mysterious woman through the VR interface. You were able to change things in the real world and in the memories of people. And you were changing yourself.
You notice that you have grown a long cord out of your bellybutton, which currently goes to the base of the capsule and seems to be supplying you with nutrients. You notice that somehow in your VR stasis you have severed the original, plastic cord with your powers. Also the room is totally destroyed around you.
What do you do?
P.S. In chapter 1, basically you were infected, got access to telekinesis and some basic shapeshifting abilities and it's affect your body in the real world somehow. enjoy.

You notice immediately that your body looks nothing like your own. In fact you don't look like a totally mutated creature either. You seem to have normal skin, but by the looks of things you are a woman. The tube where you are trapped seems to be broken. You also have a sort of umbillical cord that has replaced the mechanical feeding tube, severed from the outside. The room is totally cluttered and there are some blood marks. No one is around.

Wh-What the-?! *I try to get rid of the umbilical cord before trying to get a better look at myself*

As you yank on it, it hurts, but not as bad as say, pulling on your finger or something. It appears to be part of your body. Apparently they had tried killing you, but you unconsciously had adapted. You find that you can easily detach it from the tube it had been...sipping on.

*I do so, before getting out of the chamber* Wh-What happened to my body? *I look at myself in any reflection I could find*

You notice that you look identical to a colleague that had died a few months back. it must have been terrifying for the lab workers to have her visage appear in that tube. It was like your body was being all evil and torturing their minds while you were gone. The only mutation was the strange umbillical cord and two tiny tentacle-like protrusions under each armpit.

O-Oh god... *I stare in horror at my form*

You notice a clanging sound outside, like something metal being dropped from off the roof.

...crap!! *I try to use my psychic powers to shield myself*

You notice a shimmer in the air, but nothing happens. Presumably the shimmer was your shield. Some crystals grew as well.

*I brace myself. I know what's going on. They were going to bomb me*

After a few moments of nothing happening, the shield seems to go away.

Huh... weird. *I start walking*

As you leave the facility, you notice a piece of a bomb on the ground. Apparently while you were under you protected yourself from being blown up by at least one bomb...
You remember the island vaguely. You had come here via boat to train for five days before entering the VR. You had entered a private world and used some of the tools, jumped a couple times into simulations' memories, and sent samples "up". But you never really explored the island much. There was a dock and buildings, the road through the forest, and the lab up the mountain. And there you were.

*I look around* Alright... I know what I need to do. *I look at my hand* I was able to overcome the plague, but now I have a chance to free Ceres from what haunts them.

Of note are some things that come to mind: 1 you are strangely morphed into someone else so you must have the power to shape shift. 2 the government intended to destroy you and probably was aware that they couldn't. 3 you still have a gross umbilical cord.

*I try to shapeshift myself back to how I used to look.*

You could feel the ground creak a little with growing, solid crystals. they seemed larger than when you were infected. Your toes spread out as your feet were larger than hers, and your groin everted, popping out with a fizzing popping sound and swelling to normal size. Your hips shrank to masculine proportions and you felt your breasts beat away with your heartbeat, tightening. Your nipples shrank-- it felt like they were being pinched at first until it all tightened up and tuned up together and your man-chest was completed. Your shoulders and neck pulled out and and your jaw felt stronger and suddenly you were totally yourself again. The umbilical cord simply dropped to the ground, withering away.

Whew. That's a relief. Though... Why am I not mutating? Did I really cure myself?

You noticed there were crystals on the ground, but you indeed had no mutations, or hallucinations.

Suddenly you noticed there were boats approaching from far away. they looked large from this distance. There were three of them. And smaller boats were being lowered onto the water. (haha for some reason at this moment you have really good vision)

It was very easy to do so, as you had the entire island to yourself at this point. or so it seemed. They landed and began coming ashore.

It was a few hours before they came past you. "it looks like he left the facility and came over here" says a soldier, carrying a larger laser rifle.

You begin to shapeshift, fur sweeping across your body. Soon you are completely covered in fur and your nose is black, your fingers shriveling and joining together, hardening. You feel horns begin to grow out of your head. It feels like adjusting your back, but the cracking releases your shape and you are now a goat. The men come around the corner.

The first guy's face is totally painted in camo and the second is covered with an infrared camera. the third pops around the corner, also painted. "hmm I don't see him. It really could have been the goat" "Well, he IS in the area. he stopped those bombs and unless he grew wings and flew off , he's here" They begin walking around. One of them looks at you for an uncomfortably long time. "I had a goat once" "stay focused!" They moved a few hundred yards away.

There is a lot of crystal left over and you suddenly shrivel up into a bird, feathers fanning out quickly. The men start back over, "I heard something"

*I start to fly away, staying out of sight*

You slip out of the forest. You can see the island shrinking under you. You notice that there are no islands around you. You can see a few ships.

It's quite easy for you. You notice that the winds are fun to surf. SOme of them make it hard to go forward and others are like flat surfaces that you can just glide on.

There doesn't seem to be land for miles and miles. If you are to go all the way to the nearest land, you're gonna need to have some place to take a break. There are boats, and there are things adrift floating like logs and such.

It's a drone ship, piloted by a few cameras and remote motors. It feels great to take a break.

You notice cliff edges with beaches below and a city nearby. Near the cliffs is a large forest and a mountain behind it.

You leave your bird form and some chunks of crystalline on the ground behind you. you are unfortunately naked, however.
