And as someone that is following SW since 1977 , yes , I am a fan of the original trilogy the way it was .
If you like the new SW , good for you .
BUT , That is not for me or my generation anymore .
I will be here building my model kits of the original trilogy , drawing my toon girls , and keep listening to Mauler , Worldsclassbulshiters , and geeks and gamers .

While I wasn't born in 1977, I did grow up with the original trilogy when my uncle introduced me to them with his VHS tapes of them. Since then I've been a fan of the Original Trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the EU. I gave Disney Star Wars a chance and I liked The Force Awakens at first and I liked Rogue One, but everything went down the toilet after that and now I'm ignoring Disney's Star Wars and going back to the Original Trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the EU.

Only the original trilogy for me now ,

I barely enjoyed the Force Awakens and almost forgot about Rogue One as it was nothing special but maybe an interesting backstory if anyone's curious. There will be no Last Jedi for me (I hear nothing but negativity) and... actually, I think I'll pass on anything else from here on out. This franchise really took a bad turn. It used to mean something. There's too much touchy-feely equality nonsense going on in cinema and real life. Ugh.
(hugs Blu Ray box set and sheds a tear)

Too be honest I only remembered Rogue One out of all the new films (since 2015). Rest are either cut-outs or straight up underwhelming.

The Last Jedi killed Star Wars for me, Rian Johnson cared nothing for the franchise, instead assassinating Luke's character and shitting all over everything that came before so that he could turn the franchise into a vessel for his own ego and socio-political agenda.
And to think Disney is still giving Rian his own trilogy...

Agreed, I saw the original Star Wars (not billed as a New Hope) back in ‘77 4 times on the big screen when I was 13. I read up on all of George Lucas’ grand story of The Journal of the Whills, a trilogy of trilogies and then disney (small d) throws 4 billion at Lucas and wipes years of Expanded Universe storytelling and his original concept of the third trilogy out the door to make jj abrams style rehashes of the original movies. With the exception of Rogue One, which I liked and disney couldn’t screw-up, the other two movies are garbage. I had posted my spoiler free review on the last jedi in my dA journal. Go back to Cheers Woody.

Spends billions - yes, BILLIONS - for the rights to one of the most successful movie franchises of all time.
Proceeds to change everything about it, keeps Mark Hamill - Luke f**king Skywalker - on a leash short enough to choke him whilst ignoring his input, insults the original fanbase and does everything within its' power to alienate them from the franchise - completely disregarding the fact that it's the money of the OLD FANS that kept Star Wars going and successful for YEARS in the first place.
Golf clap for Disney, people - you can't teach that kind of stupidity.

Ooooh boy.
See I actually loved the Force Awakens when it came out, probably cuz I was not aware of how much the whole PC movement had affected things like Star Wars and looking back on it, while I totally understand the criticisms against it now, it didn't seem quite that bad. JJ Abrams seems to have known what he was doing with that movie. I started to become aware that things were going downhill when the directors of Rogue One started saying all sorts of stupid political shit on their Twitters but thankfully Rogue One turned out better than TFA. I was a bit put off by there being yet ANOTHER female lead in that movie and the feminist agenda was starting to show itself, but Jin didn't seem to rub me the wrong way and wasn't such a Mary Sue like Rey was. The cast being so diverse was probably forced but they were likable and well-written. I heard that they were originally going to make Chirrut's outfit be more Asian-inspired but the actor told them that the Chinese audience will probably complain and say that they are trying to force it so they left that out which is at least good to know. Rogue One didn't seem to screw things up that much, but then the Last Jedi.............dear God, where did it all go wrong?
Not only did they force in all sorts of politically-charged commentary in the Canto-Bight scene or seem to push a feminist agenda with the way Holdo treated Poe, they completely ruined Luke. Luke was supposed to have wised-up after Return of the Jedi but then all of a sudden he's so paranoid that he thinks she should kill his son-in-law rather than try to talk things out with him to stop him from becoming Vader 2.0. The ending to TFA made Luke look like he was going to listen to Rey and have a change of heart and want to come back after hearing what happened to Han but when he threw the lightsaber away, I literally made a confused grunt in the theater upon first seeing it. Clearly whatever JJ had planned with Luke was completely ignored and thrown out the window by Rian Johnson and Luke was just so unlikeable. Yeah, we get it, he's had a rough time and he has gone into self-exile, but they turned him into such a brat even though he really seemed to have reached maturity at the end of RotJ. It's like he learned nothing at all.
There are tons of other problems like how Holdo just screwed up everything with her oh-so-heroic plan and how much of a complete waste of time the whole Canto Bight scene was since they didn't even get to do what they wanted, Snoke's character was really built up in the first film and we learned nothing about him in this next one, the whole thing with Rey's parents, everything about Rose, I could go on.
I am interested but at the same time worried for Solo. While it does look kinda cool, this whole thing with the female droid friend of Lando's being into "droid rights" just sounds ridiculous and knowing Kathleen Kennedy, she'll probably make the female characters all badass and look better than the males and make some of the males look kinda stupid like she's done with the sequels. This movie could either be eh-ok or it could be worse than Last Jedi and with each new thing coming out, I'm afraid it's going to be closer to the latter.
I agree with what Alex Becker has been saying: they need to fire Kathleen Kennedy. Disney seems to be doing ok with the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it's not Disney that is the issue, it's Kathleen. She and her sorry "Force is Female" BS has got to go. Period.

I can say that this Solo movie can even be good , but right now that doesnt matter .
The boycott its to send a message to Disney that we are not happy with the actual management of the franchise .
Probably I will watch Solo in TV , but I will not gave them more money .

One big reason I would rather see it in theaters is cuz I don't want to deal with having it spoiled for me online and I always see Star Wars movies right when they come out (our local theater gets Star Wars and Avengers the day before the US premier), but yeah, my ability to care for the new Star Wars movies has been tarnished thanks to TLJ.

I'm indifferent about the new movies. I practically grew up obsessed with the action-adventure genre, so it's great for me that we're getting this onslaught of new Star Wars pictures, but...I have seen many movies that are exhilarating, emotionally engaging, and full of nerve-wracking thrills. These new Star Wars movies are not as good as those movies. 'Why are they not that good?' I wonder.

What I would accept if they make good movies .

I will see the movie when it hits DVD. TBH, Star Wars got in the shape people claim its in mainly because it's trying too hard to keep things fresh. That, and it's being marketed to kids, with all the toys Hasbro keeps making for the franchise.
