Wow!! What a range of color!! great scene!! My only suggestion might be to crop out the sky, other than that this is a really nice shot!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into that. It might be a while though. School is taking priority over dA. It's all good though. I'll be for this term in a few weeks.

Thanks!!!!

Almost looks like a painting.

Such beauty... I wish we were there instead of here, kind of. But the grass is always greener, I suppose.

If you were here, you would have to work at the CWT.

Or just be a civvie... I am technically assigned to the CWT here, but have not worked for them in almost two years. I do active duty tours with other base agencies.

I being a Reservist!

That is a wonderful photo, I love how the Plum Blossoms light up the hill with color. And the lone Pine is an excellent contrast as well.

Wonderful picture! Was waiting for flowers of the blooming Plum Blossoms! In our newspaper they said that the flowers are late this year (like here in Europe)!

Thank you! Yes, cherry blossoms are just now blooming and should be in full bloom today or tomorrow. Hopefully they last until the weekend.

I understand your frustation.

so pretty...or maybe that's just my sudden unexplained pink fetish talking.
i love the way the stairs lead you through the whole photo and how the big pine contrasts with the ume.
if only there weren't so many people out enjoying mother nature all the time around here...

Thank you.

Wished you two could have joined us, but you were attending that wedding. So, J Alan finally got hitched, huh? Now I know why his sister was here. Haha, just kidding.

The crowds weren't as bad there as they will be this weekend. Hopefully we will get luck though and find a place that you can take bigger steps than baby ones. If you don't already know, stay away from Ueno this weekend. It will be mass hysteria. You can only handle so many baby steps.

yeah, no way are we going near Ueno this weekend. I wonder how crowded Iruma is? we normally end up along the Tama River.

I don't know about the crowds there, but here's a link to where they usually have sakura viewing. [link]

Gena was talking about Showa on Sunday. I don't know what we'll do. Bill didn't seem like that would be a good place for sakura, but I know the crowds wouldn't be as bad there.

Beautiful shot!!
I love the different shades of pink on the blossoms.
The dark green of the crooked tree in the middle, really sets of the colors too!

Thank you Angela!

I like the pink too.

A color not included in the picture was the yellow ume. Those were my favorite from that day since they were bright and sunny. They also stood out more since there were not that many of them. Wish I had a good pic of it. I would share.

What a gorgeous shot, love.

I tried a few of that stairway, but none satisfied me. But there's good reason for that - you go it!

You sharpened after you framed, didn't you? The pixels don't lie...

4Clarice In reply to billsabub [2006-03-28 01:39:27 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, love!

I only took 5 pictures that day anyway. Well, besides the ones of you climbing through the bamboo forest.

I think I sharpened, flattened, framed, and flattened, but I could have did it all wrong. I don't remember. I will keep that in mind though for the next time. Is it sharpened too much?

billsabub In reply to 4Clarice [2006-03-28 02:25:13 +0000 UTC]

No, not too much.

But the tell-tale sign is the 1-2 pixel fringing between the frame and the image. Most noticeable along the bottom.

Okay. Maybe I will play with it later and fix it.

Thanks!

a wonderful capture of nice soft colors.
I especially like from where you took the photo, it looks like soft fluffy patches of stuff on grass that if you were walking around in a dream, you could just roll around in it and feel as soft and stuff.

Good shot Jen!
