Description Based on a request that I couldn't figure out how to word properly.

Instead of just liking an animal because it's "cool" or "pretty" why not actually learn something about it?

OK

The Corn Snake is a burrower, however, it has to come out before rain. As the burrow will get flooded.

Myth. Snakes can't unhinge their jaw, and, aside from possibly a fully grown reticulated python or green anaconda, snakes can't eat cheetahs.

Actually, it's somewhat uncommon, because the barbs on a male cats... member, usually rubs out all competing sperm.

And now to contribute:

Tardigrades (water bears) can survive dessication, freezing, the suns full on radiation, and the vacuum of space, and they're little arthropod-like creatures. (As in, not extermophile bacteria.)

My favorite animal is the Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger (or Wolf). It's the largest carnivorous marsupial and it went extinct around 200 years ago.(...give or take) It's known for its abillity to open its jaws to up to around 120 degrees. It was about 130 cm (about 51 in) long without the tail (which was 65 cm long) . Both males and Females had pouches but it was more of a protective sheath for male and females had backwards opening pouches. They could also stand and hop around like kangaroos!

Sound frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz). The higher the Hertz, the higher-pitched the sound. Dogs hear best at 8,000 Hz, while humans hear best at around 2,000 Hz.

My favorite animal is a dog.

What to say about domestic cats... they have a terminal velocity of 60mph compared to most animals 120. Making them far more likely to survive a fall. Purring also emits a sound frequency that has been proven to promote bone density and healing.

Not true, while a wolf will protect her cubs, if she get's hungry enough, she'll end up eating her own cubs. A slight opposite to that is when the mother ends up dying, the cubs will eat her, if they can get to her before another wolf does.
