Description
This is a FULL tutorial, on how I make my fractals, from Apophysis to Photoshop. Both programs are required to fully complete this tutorial.Hopefully this is helpful. I didn't include all that many images as I had to keep the file size to a minimum. If you make anything using this, let me know!

Whenever I try to export the flame file, it says the flame3-render.exe could not be found at a specified location. Any help?

Aha, that'd be because the version of Apophysis that this is written for is oooooold now hehe. I don't actually have a copy of Apophysis installed at the moment (just upgraded to Windows 7!) but I'm fairly sure that you just need to go to File -> Render, or something along those lines. You should be able to use similar settings to obtain the same result!

Cool, nice work! I'd recommend maybe turning the gamma down in Apophysis a little to reduce the noise

Ahh yes. Sorry, this tutorial is OLD, on newer versions of Apophysis you can just go to Flame -> Render to Disk (Ctrl + R), and you'll be greeted with a similar menu Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for this helpful tutorial! I've always wanted to try fractal art but had no idea where to start with Apophysis! This was a great help!
I used it to make my first fractal! Total Eclipse of the Heart . I know its not too great but I think I'll enjoy making more and learning as I go!
Thanks again!

Hehe if you're new to Photoshop it can be pretty daunting at first. Keep at it though, I think it's a case of staring at it blankly for long enough until it clicks, hehe.
Glad the tutorial helped!

hm, from looking at this tut, it looks like Apophysis is just a bunch of random chance, with very little meaning behind the creation of fractals besides your own personal tastes, which makes it seem like a very cheap art, more suited for the creation of background material in an artwork than actual artwork
