Description This, my fellow WoT/art loving friends, is Mat Cauton. In the shape of a fox (yea its really hideous... lol)
feel free to ask questions, give tips, post comments anything I appreciate very much. (actually I appreciate a comment more than a fave, its more personal ^^ but ofc I like both. Lol)

ow and something else, if you like fantasy and reading... read the Wheel of Time. Seriously! It is epic in every sense and I never loved a book for such a long time, its really great!

P.S. just found out his English name is Mat Cauthon, with a H added >_> in Dutch its Cauton, and I thought it was the same for English.
Sorry ppl for this poor mistake...! I changed the title but I cannot change the text in the image 'cuz its a JPG now... and the text layer is merged with the rest.

Thanks, the Ta'veren were of course easy to convert into animals, but I want to try some other characters some day too!

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment and to let me know about these other WOT pieces you have made. I had missed your gallery before and only came across your Aes Sedai/Asha'man fight from random searching. These pieces of Rand, Perrin, and Matt as animals are totally inspired and exceptionally well done! I think Matt as a fox is my fav but I love them all. Such a cool idea! You should consider making a children's book with animal humans as the characters

Also I read your Bio and some of your other info, I also love doing art just for fun. I think I will create an account here and start to upload some of my pieces. I have also noticed a small grammar error, you often type tough instead of writing though (missing the h). I am trying to learn some japanese at the moment, and I love when people point out grammar/spelling issues to me, so I hope you don't mind my pointing this one out.

Thanks again for sharing your art with the world! More people need to realise that the most important thing about doing art is that its fun!

You should do that! I'll be sure to check it out. I really can't tell all the things I learnt as soon as I uploaded my stuff here, also getting feedback and such will really be great! I don't get really many comments, but I love it when I do, especially when someone takes the time to actually write something, like you did!

And, no, no I don't mind! I now indeed see I make this mistake all the time! But when do you use tough and when though then, if I may ask?
And I'm really glad you pointed this out, I can understand English for quite a long time already, but I still make numerous mistakes, so I'm glad you helped me with this one! (to be honest; I didn't even know it was wrong...!)

I agree, it's great to earn money and appreciation with it, but it's not the "main goal", at least not for me. If I stop enjoying art, well... uhm... I hope that just never happens!

tough = something which is strong or hard. A physical property.
though = a word used to compare two things or connect two ideas. Sometime though is short for although.
tho = an internet shorthand way to say though. However, it is not really a word (like lol, rofl, brb)

I also thought you should consider drawing a member of each Ajah as animals - I think Verin Sedai would make an awesome owl. Verin has always been my favourite Aes Sedai, and one of my favourite characters. Or perhaps also the forsaken as animals, obviously Moghedian is an easy one to start with!

Ohh yes, now I remember! Though I always used to write "tough" and never "though". Thank you for helping me on this one!

That's an awesome idea actually! And maybe not a specific member from the books, but just a member from the ajah (if that makes sense...) like a wolf or lion or something for green, an owl for brown, a snake for red...
It's pretty tricky to get appropriate animals, tough I think I'll give it a shot!!

ow, en het lijkt me wel leuk. In het Nederlands begrijp je alles toch net een tikkie beter nouja, het is sowieso iets relaxter lezen.

I don't see anything horrible with the quality xD Maybe I am just going blind : D Actually it kinda looks like there is a texture layer over it.

I know I haven't commented anything in a while but NOW I AM AND WILL! And I love this <3 I like how you make every single one your characters unique and even tho I don't know the persons I get a feeling of them

yea, not a texture layer actually but I painted pencil over it. Its somewhat fixed now, but earlier it was, according to MY opinion, awful!

Heh, I didn't even notice anything wrong with the quality beofre you mentioned it In full view I can see it too, but it doesn't look too awful... Suits with the style, it could be just the colouring. But I understand it might piss you off
BTW, what animal is Rand? Dragon, or a sheep? (since he's woolheaded fool and sheepherder and everything )

okay, at least others don't notice it then! but yea it pissed me off, in the beginning at least.

Rand, I wanted to make him a dragon (kinda obvious...)but a sheep that is a nice idea too!
Well, something to add about Rand, I DID want to let his scale colour change when he gets older, also he gets more spikes and gets less fluffy (dragons fluffy?! lol, yes... I mean "cute/adorable" anything like that. As a sheepherder he IS kinda cute, lol, especially when you look back. Didn't want to make him look like a 4 jr old tough. lol)

yea I agree about the bear feet thing, I accidental made too short, paw like feet -__-" and the fact that they're brown also helps.
Well, the problem is that on paper Mat looks better. But somehow my pc (or DA, I think the last since he's fine in GIMP...) wrecked the quality. He seems... uhm.. grainy(?)and less vivid colours and clear lines
ah whatever... I always have something to complain about, guess its just me, lol. Thanks a lot for your comment btw ^^

misschien had ik 'm lachend, met een stel dobbelstenen ofzo moeten afbeelden, maar deze was nou eenmaal beter gelukt, lol. Maar ik ben het wel met je eens, eigenlijk wou ik er ook nog meer bij tekenen... maar dat heb ik niet gedaan

nouja, ik ben nu gewoon een WoT collection aan het maken van de 3 Ta'veren en een paar losse karakters... maar ik ga zeker Mart nog vaak tekenen, zo is 'ie voor mij het makkelijkst te tekenen van alle karakters lol

ja eigenlijk wel he...!
maar ik ben nu geskipt naar dieren tekenen omdat ik mensen nggl moeilijk vind. En dat zou voor die strip niet werken, dus eigenlijk moet ik gwn een heleboel gaan oefenen zodat ik straks mezelf goed genoeg vind voor de strip.

yea, agree. Daarom zijn mijn tekeningen atm ook nggl statisch, ik ben niet goed genoeg ik het lichaam. (nouja, laten we ff niet beginnen over waar ik niet goed in ben. Oke?! dan kunnen we een pagina vol schrijven)

Nee, niet statisch, en hoezo je bent niet goed genoeg?
Oefenen, oefenen, oefenen.
Dat is iets wat je goed maakt.
Maar je kan dus niet ergens niet goed of wel goed in zijn.
Je hebt alleen nog niet genoeg geoefend en genoeg geoefend.
Pas je wel op dat je het mensen tekenen niet verleerd?
Dan kun je weer opnieuw beginnen met oefenen.

nou... nee, ik kon het al niet geweldig. Ik wil gewoon mijn algemene skills op een wat hoger niveau hebben, dan leer je iets nieuws ook makkelijker aan. Aangezien het een beetje te grote stap was, meteen mensen gaan tekenen, aangezien ik die heel moeilijk vind.
Anders wordt je er ook zo gedeprimeerd van...
