In the year 1994, the two Assassin Mentors residing in Glasgow, Scotland had their second child named Bannon Russ. Along with his three sisters Roxanne, Griffin, and Faria, Bannon has proven to be a great addition to the Assassin Brotherhood. However, Bannon stands out among the others on account of his strength, cunning, weapon proficiency, and brutality.

In his early years, Bannon was shown to have taken an interest in learning about weaponry and the Assassin's history to an almost nerdy degree. It was because of this that he was playfully nicknamed "Warlock" by his younger sisters Griffin and Faria. Despite the names mocking intent, Bannon took it with great pride to the point where it became his codename in the Brotherhood.

Unlike his sister's, Bannon was always keen on following his families set rules and principles. It was because of these practices in obedience that he saw Roxanne's departure as a sign of betrayal to their family and Brotherhood alike; a betrayal that is typically met with death. Thankfully, no harm came to Roxanne, and she was left on her way to America.

On the night that his home was attached, Bannon went in search of the rest of his family members. He soon encountered Griffin engaging in combat between two Templar Mercenaries. Bannon rushed to her side and together the two rival siblings quickly disposed of the two Mercenaries. Once the two met up with Faria, all three of them went searching for their parents together, but they were soon ambushed by another Templar Mercenary named "The Vulpimancer" and her team of Templar Agents. Bannon and Griffin took care of the Agents while Faria handled Vulpimancer by herself. As soon as he noticed that Faria was having trouble, Bannon rushed to her aid, allowing Griffin to finish off the weakened Templar Agents. The both of them managed to kill the Vulpimancer, but were both left with deep scratches on their faces. Bannon managed to treat both of their wounds with the medical supplies that he carries with him. Once the two were stabilized, the three siblings went to go find their parents.

Later on, the three siblings found their parents injured to the point of death, and surrounded by the remaining Templar Agents. All three of the Russ siblings succeeded in murdering every last Agent there before assisting their injured parents. Bannon offered to help them, but they both declared that it was too late for them. As his dying wish, their father told Bannon to retreat to America with his younger sisters to take residence there, and to find their elder sister Roxanne. Bannon agreed to carry out his father's wishes and swore to him and his mother that they would be avenged.

The three left Scotland in the watchful eyes of Faria's loyal Assassin followers while they were away in America. Once they arrived there, the three siblings immediately took refuge at the Assassin's main headquarters, and became members of an Assassin subdivision created and ran by Acting Head Mentor Sonya Ali. Eventually, the three were reunited with Roxanne. Although he was very reluctant at first, Bannon soon decided to forgive Roxanne for leaving after a moment of playing catch-up.

Now, with the four of them together, the Russ siblings set aside their differences to rebuild the fallen Brotherhood, and avenge their parents.

In terms of skill and personality, Bannon is a focussed and calculating individual. Bannon is never know to shy away from practice and is constantly finding ways to improve his ever growing fighting capabilities. He is skilled with a variety of weapons and is known to handle himself well against multiple enemies single handedly, but he prefers to work in teams. Bannon believes that it is important to be prepared for anything which is why he always carries red vials full of medicine on him. During his time in the Assassin's subdivision, he has made many new friends and allies, and is now romantically linked to Akira Elgin, the rookie Assassin from the island of Madagascar.
