Now, that is a ridiculous resolution.
All in all, this probably took me a good two months to complete. It is by far the most work I've put into a piece of art like this, and it was an interesting challenge. It was much larger than my monitor, so I just hope the perspective and composition looks good.
The composition on this piece was extremely challenging for me. I wanted to make all three segments work well as standalone images, but also fit together as a whole. I think it worked out well in the end here.
It was a difficult piece, but it was very satisfying.

That is one of the most mindblowing paintings I have ever seen. The composition of the pieces alone and all put together is superb, I can't imagine how difficult it must be to achieve something like this. And everything else, from the colors you chose to the concept and to the painting style, everything is perfect. Wonderful work!

To plan the layout, I had to make a large canvas like this, and sketch over the top of that existing picture. Then, I as able to break the other two parts off, and make adjustments as necessary to improve it. It was rather interesting, because I've never made anything like this either.
It was definitely worth the effort, though. I'm very proud of how it turned out.

The composition was a rather large challenge here, because I wanted the three pictures to work independently, but also fit together as one complete image.

Ahhh! The scale and play of colors is AMAZING! I love the dark wizard on his magic platform, the dark angel figure, and the firebirds, and the guy riding the golden dragon's head. SO COOL!

The sky and clouds around that mage were one of my favorite areas to work on.

There seems to be a somewhat obvious difference (particularly in the top portion) of where the second and third portions meet, though.
But other than that I admire your patience! This is really dramatic and atmospheric~
